There was barely anything left in our local Morrison (unless you like pork, pork & more pork) so we grabbed 2 lamb neck fillets, 1 rump steak, 2 burgers and a pack of kebabs. Then we hot footed it to Tesco who DO take Morrison vouchers (they have cardboard signs up at customer service stating they will take any competitor vouchers until the end of August) and got a huge lamb leg joint (half price), some casserole steak x2, 2 pack of bacon (x2) and diced lamb.
I really enjoyed the Tesco shop as I really dislike Tesco but I got £33 of shopping for £17 (I had a few other MOC too)
Will get up early tomorrow and go to Morrisons and see if they've restocked the shelves to see if I can get any of the 3 for £10 and a couple more joints of meat. I'm really after the lean mince and a couple of whole chickens.

Morrisons pork is very good. I got the lean mince and a chicken today with my voucher, off again tomorrow and Sunday with my other 2 !0

sexki11en, when I went in to my local Morries yesterday they had chickens on the main aisle that were 2 for £10 but I had a wonder over to the fresh meat/butcher area and they had chickens there that were a much better deal e.g.
2 for £10 chickens were £3.50kg and the 'Market place' ones that are by the butcher counter are £2.15 kg and they have them all the same price, £3.75 each
A £5.48 chicken in the meat aisle weighed 1.566kg and the ones from the butcher counter weighed 1.750kg!0 -

Just looking here and seen this, if you are in any of these areas they are taking competitors vouchers and asda price guarantee but NOT the meat vouchers, think you can use up to £10 in one shop

was in my morries as the shop opened this morning to use my voucher (only got 1 as limited freezer space at mo).
Shelves were full. If you want the pick of the stock, I'd recommend getting there early.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Been there again this morning, went with hubby and mam, used a coupon each, so lots more for the freezer. Plenty of things to choose from.0

As an aside - the OP on the Hotukdeals link in the first post said there would be a "Large selection to choose from;- butchery, sausage, bacon, poultry, fish, cooked meats, deli meats, fresh quorn if you're a vegetarian etc, etc.. "
There's no mention of Quorn on the voucher. If anyone manages to use it, unchallenged, for Quorn, please post! I'm not a vegetarian but am not wild about meat and would rather get Quorn if at all possible.Oh me of little faith! There was no problem using my coupon for chilled Quorn this morning. I enquired at Customer Services first so as not to hold up the queue at the checkout and they said it should be okay to use it for Quorn, even though it says meat and fish only. Slight hesitation from the checkout assistant but she scanned the coupon and it worked fine.
Thank you OP here and also OP on the Hotukdeals link. :T0 -
great stuff a chicken and two gammon joints for a fiver and lots left at my store.
thanks all!0 -
Thanks to the OP, we bought a couple of copies of the "currant bun" yesterday, and popped in this morning to Morrisons.
A couple of really thick ribeye steaks - luxury dinner tomorrow - took care of one voucher.
Then the OH went to the fish counter, and bought two lovely plaice fillets and a load of fresh scallops. We have just had the plaice with oven cooked chips and green beans - mmmm!0 -
I used 6 vouchers i had in all. 3 on checkout, the lady said sorry I cannot do more. said thank you and took my things and headed to self checkout.
4x£5 (4x of the 3 for £10 deals)
1x£5.50 (6 bacon packs of 10 rashers, £3.50 for 2) so £10.50.
1x£12.50 (last 3 for £10 with some normal shop).
Got it home, placed in individual bags with dates so it dont take up so much freezer space and now freezer is full. Excellent deal.Save saynoto0870.com in your favorites, and stop giving companies more £££ dialling 0870 numbers when you can dial freephones or cheaper alternatives
