  • I didn't realise you could use the vouchers at the self serves. Do they just scan?

They normally have a member of staff who comes and puts them through for you but it's never a problem going through self scan :D

I went with my mum this morning with three vouchers each. Put the first lot through the furthest till from the door, went and put it in the car. Put the second lot through the till nearest the door, went and put it in the car. Last lot through a till in the middle. No problems!

Going back tomorrow (it's almost next door to where I work so not eating money in petrol) and then again on Saturday (when I'm at work again) with another four each (2 lots each visit).

They were also selling big bags of new potatoes for 99p each or three bags for £2 so I got six of those too. That's the bulk of our meals for the next goodness knows how long sorted and a groaning freezer that will take me long into the autumn.

Now to find the time in the next few days to get to Aldi or Lidl for the veg and I can batch cook up a storm next week while I'm off work with the children!!

Nobody answered earlier but dont tesco also take morrisons vouchers? Could stock up more. I just done 6 visits for BBQ stuff for the weekend.

On one of the visits it came to £10 (3 x 3 packs for a tenner) on the self service and he came over swiped his pass and then ran to another till to help out, so I swiped the voucher twice and clicked ok ;-)

The answer to your tesco question is no. I went to Tesco this afternoon for shopping and I asked at the checkout as I had one of they save £1.50 if you spend £20 in morrrions vouchers.
  • Glad people are getting a bargain :money:

  • Used three vouchers this morning, hubby & daughter went in and used one each. Then I went in and done my weekly shop and used another. I also have 8 quid coming back as cash back for using my lloyds debit card. Have another two vouchers in purse which I will use Saturday. My freezer is bursting now and will really help keep food costs down this month.

Excellent, good to see lots of bargains. I used two coupons this morning, then went back in this afternoon on my way to pick hubby up from work, picked up a massive joint of pork with a couple of packs of Richmond sausages, me and hubby going back in tomorrow for more meat.

I managed to get two copies of the paper this evening - my local Morrison's had sold out but the petrol station had some left. I got about a kilo piece of beef, 4 pork and apple burgers and 2 packs of pork steaks for just over £10, so a bargain with £5 off! I'll go again over the weekend and pick up something else with the other coupon.

Thanks so much for all the info on this thread.

Went to our nearest store this evening and took OH, DS1 and DS2 chose mainly the 3 for £10 offers and used a voucher each. Then went to the caf! for tea 2 adult meals for £9 including drinks and 2 free kids meals. Finally another whiz round the store and another 4 vouchers used.

Just managed to squeeze it all in the freezer, should keep us going for a few months.

    I've been Money Tipped!
I managed to use 6 coupons today (including 2 for my Brother) and have 2 left to use.
I got a right mix of stuff, but mainly 6 x chicken crowns @ 2 for £5. A gammon joint, bacon, chicken breasts, lean mince, pork shoulder steaks etc.

Well done to Morries, they were very busy today with extra tills on. I hope the promotion worked for them and hopefully other stores will follow with similar offers.
I consider myself a "savvy shopper" and I've never known so many bargains and saving loads on grocery shopping (reduced "whoopsied" stuff also helps).
If you put the effort in, you really can save. I know not everyone has the time or can or want to put in the effort, but happy days for those that can and do.
Long may the supermarkets fight each other, the shopper is "King" at the moment. Loving it, loving it, loving it. lol
