DVLA and DISABLED class on PUBLIC view

still not showing "disabled" on the dvla vehicle enquiry....
Look up registration "FA07NVR" which is a "Lexus".
You will see that the Tax Class is listed as "DISABLED".
I actually agree with the OP that it is a breach of the Data Protection Act, as it allows anybody who can link a living individual with a particular vehicle (e.g., a neighbour who is seen using that vehicle, whether as driver or passenger) to view the taxation class.Philip0 -

But it can't identify a paricular person because the disabled status could be on behalf of the RK, anyone else in their family, or even a relaion who lives elsewhere.
In fact, technically, it doesn't need to be a relation or even anyone who ever goes in the car! If you have a second car (so not used for your own purposes) you can quite legally have it taxed as disabled if you only use it to make shopping runs for your disabled neighbour.
So all it's doing is identifying "someone the driver and / or RK (who may not be the same) knows" as being disabled. Anything beyond that is assumption by the person seeing it and that's not covered by the DPA.0 -
I'm I the only one to find it both ironic and hypocritical that the OP objects to DVLA indicating he may be disabled because he thinks it breeches his privacy rights when at the same time he posts using what's possibly his full name and lists a number of his medical problems?0

If they have the big blue bade in the windscreen, that shows it also.0 -

Depends which vehicle check you use.. The one listed above is the BETA version which shows disabled.
Yet if you search the same car on the original DVLA check system, it doesnt show disabled.
