displaying an update from a data protection expert is not spamming
    thanks

I agree it's not spamming, but posting the same information four times in the thread isn't very good forum etiquette and won't make you any friends.

Spam reported on the 3 copy & paste posts. Was hardly worth wasting bandwidth on once, let alone 3 times!

Incidentally, yes, our car is in the disabled tax class because of my wife but I drive it. I really don't have a problem at all with this, and neither does my disabled wife. It's obvious anyway every time we put her blue badge in the windscreen for everyone to see.

In fact, her view is that the people complaining about this (across several forums lately) are just the sort of people who make life harder for those with disabilities because they all get tarred with the same "pointless petty whinger" brush. That's the view of a 44 year old who's been disabled since she was 15, so I reckon it counts for something :)

thanks , I have similar situation, but i feel my condition or my capabilities are is not answerable to any one. whom it doesn't concern. My thoughts are that this information can be used against you, not now but may in the future, especially now society is being divided. extremes of this division . next - will be putting your religion on public view. In 1905 a blue star on Nederland's identity cards cost 106,000 dutch jews their lives, 35 years later . I know this is extreme and you feel there is no problem giving info about yourself that could cause conflict later. Thats your right. But surely I have a right to my personal info to be restricted. Remember the back lash with benefit street was one example. Having a drain on your bowel and unitary tract and full skeletal muscle disease, makes you fed up of neighbours saying and rumouring, "there is nothing wrong with him and he's got a disabled car". Two recent reports to DWP investigations (and the inconvenience that causes- with threat of sanctions
etc.) came from information arising from DVLA information. , each time fully investigated, with result of no case to answer, after visit. and put down to vindictive reports.

    cheers

    What a strange comment, I'm sensing a wind-up.

Without a doubt a wind up unless of course grahamejohnyoung can explain how a muscle spasm could cause someone to reply to 3 different posts, quoting those posts in the individual replies and also posting additional info in each reply.

    Can any one help me,
You can put the "REG NO" of any car into DVLA website and it gives details of the CAR plus information Eg (DISABLED) about the person, - who could be but not always, the registered keeper. AS data protection, protects me from being identified as disabled to the general public and corporations etc.
And the DVLA , as I understand should only give details ABOUT the vehicle , not the person , with the exception of relevant government agencies to prevent fraud . HOW do I get DVLA to NOT give detail of weather I'm DISABLED or NOT to the general public etc. and how could this taxation class be changed to EXEMPT, FREE, NON , PAID, £0.00 .etc. BUT not DISABLED . the CAR is NOT DISABLED . And its the CAR information that should be available . NOT ME.
surely this is against my human rights.

Im sick to death of vidictive neighbours reporting to DWP that the person who has the car has no problems walking . 5 DWP investigations but ALL have been declared Anonymously vindictive. and no case to answer. BUT not before, the house visit, threat of sanction if your not there, etc, etc. As the MOTABILITY CAR is or a severely disabled Person ME !!!, but my wife drives.
Many thanks for taking the time to reply,
Taxation discs are being removed from vehicles from OCT 2014, I still feel the car is Not disabled. and the taxation class is not disabled . in fact describing a taxation as disabled does not make sense. A taxation class does not have a wheel chair or one leg etc. if the taxation is exempt, due a person being disabled, then say so, exempt !. and the blue badge for parking etc is surely suffice . My disability is nothing to do with the public, nieghbours or corporations (who could use this info for there own ends). The DVLA must not release any personal information about the "person" , (and being disabled is VERY personal) under data protection laws. I have just made complaint to DVLA . thank you. graham.

    Are you for real?

It took you until post 23 to get to the Nazis, I'm sure you can do better in your next spoofery.
