The child maintenance is set to 15% for one child, 20% for 2, 25% for 3 or more.
(though this is due to change to be 19% of gross for 3 or more, and equivalent lesser amounts for 1 and 2) - i believe
My point being that the child maintenance is not THAT significant. 15p to the pound.0
