HILARIOUS ad in the personal ads in a newspaper I read

Wasn't sure where to put this, but I figured as this guy is trying to find a woman, it kind of fitted onto the relationships board.

I laughed out loud at this. And then I thought: no wonder he's still single! :D

Hope this works.

Can't help thinking he should have put it in the 'situations vacant' section and put it as an advertisement for a skivvy! :rotfl:

Has anyone else ever seen any hilarious personal ads, where people are looking for a partner? :D

Not so hilarious really, I wouldn't want a woman cooking for me, but I wouldn't rate them if they do not posses the simple essential ability to prepare fresh food, , and complete thise tasks listed above, he may not necessarily be looking for a homemaker, on the converse there are ladies on the sites seeking a bloke to help out with raising their children and to put money on the table, and not even in that age bracket

Seriously? You're kidding right? Maybe you're from the older generation? Because I howled with laughter at this, and so did my husband (we're in our mid 40s.) Seriously? You think this is OK to put an ad up like this, asking for a woman who will be a skivvy for you?

Well I guess people don't have to apply if they don't want to be this man's skivvy!

I reckon this ad has to be a wind-up though! :P

Just wondered if anyone else has found an advertisement in the personal ads that they found as hilarious as I find this one. :)

I'm in my 40s too, as you have a hubby, there is little need to be viewing dating sites, trust me I am on a couple of them and you get dross from both genders (not that I look at male ones but the feedback from some of the ladies I chat to reveal that). I have friends my age that have asked me how to shell a boiled egg and other what we may deem simple and obvious tasks, perhaps the advertiser has worded his advert in a way to keep away gold diggers , as we all get older we become less tolerant to next partners based on previous ones :o

So many personals ads fall into the 'same old' category. I think this ad is tongue-in-cheek (or at least I hope so!) and I find it amusing. If I was looking for a 60-something man I would be tempted to find out more about the advertiser, which is the whole point of such ads.

Oh FGS, I am not viewing dating sites: quit making up stuff that isn't there to suit your own agenda! This ad was in the personal ads in the paper, as I said in my original post. I noticed it when I was scouring through for a mechanic. I SHOWED it my husband, I mentioned this too. Funny how you're not acknowledging stuff to suit yourself. ;)

I knew someone would start trying to wind me up, but I didn't think it would be this soon!

Thanks Robinette. :) Not just me then. :D It is rather amusing isn't it? As I said earlier, me and my husband chuckled when we saw it.

I wonder if any woman will apply? :rotfl:

No need to get wound up, I'm not on about stuff just to suit myself, as said I will find you some adverts out of the paper, the one you have posted is little out of the ordinary by a long shot, there are worse ones than that from males and similar ones from females, as you are in a bonified relationship naturally they are probably going to come as a shock to you, I will let some others reply.
Besides you only have to look at some of the threads to gain some of what characters maybe like.
