Please could anyone help or advice me on what to do...I have been a Vodafone customer since 2002. Since the introduction of the 20% NHS discount, I have been told by Vodafone that this is applicable to my Vodafone account and as they already know that I work for the NHS, apparently, I do not have to do anything and they will sort it out and apply it automatically from their end. I am very grateful about this and have renewed my contract and asked at each time if the discount still applies and they confirmed that it is still okay and that again I do not have to do anything about it as they have already sorted it out...This transaction/conversations have happened over the telephone. Today after being able to look closely into my billing online, I have realised that the 20% discount did not apply. this was confirmed via another telephone call to the customer services department. In my attempt to find out where I could write a letter of complaint, I have resorted to the live chat. However, the person at the end of the live chat line was not very helpful at all. He informed me that there are no evidence of the discount being offered at all in the system, but clearly this would not be the case as all conversations have happened verbally via the telephone. When I asked them about any taped /recoded conversation from 2010, he said that there is none. He was asking me of proofs when clearly he know that I would have nothing as all have been done verbally and not in writing. I am a point that I am feeling deceived and mislead by Vodafone and clearly, this may or could happen to other people who like me is oblivious of their false promises... How could I take this forward? Please help!

thanks you for the reply Annie, but given the fact that I have been told that I do not have to do anything about it and that it has been applied already to me is misleading...

Vodafone discounts to companies who use them as a corporate have to be applied for in the first 30 days of taking the contract out, again in the T&C.

This should have been circulated by your HR department,

However have you checked with your HR if you qualify , its not a "NHS" discount but only applies to the trusts that use Vodafone as a main supplier, Its possible that your trust does not and so you do not get the discount.

Op has already stated that the agents on the telephone confirmed that the discount had been applied to the contract and nothing needed to be done, so it's not an issue as to whether their trust gets the discount or not. It's down to the fact that in order for them to stay with Voda it appears that the sales people have been saying whatever they want to keep the business.

What I am wondering though, is why have you left it 4 years to check? Your bills would indicate if there was a discount applied or not.

You should be keeping an eye on your bills to make sure everything is as agreed, at all points throughout the contract to make sure nothing gets changed.
