Calais to where for 2 weeks in camper van?

Durinell at Wassenaar, near enough to do day trips into Amsterdam. Use the park and ride - great value.
Great pool with lots of slides, as a eurocamp holidaymaker, it did cost a bit extra to get into the pool, but not too much. Think it is included in the price if you book via them direct.
Bikes for hire, great beach tho too far to walk, we hired cycles to get there,no idea about water sports tho as weather wasn't great when we was there so beach was empty.
Also a theme park on site that was free, but Tbh we didn't think much of it.
THank you googled and eurocamp full.0 -

Then on to south Brittany, lovely. We did it for years when the kids were small and up to DDs 18 th.
Yes Calais for the cheaper ferry, the ones from portsmouth to santander/bilbao are extortionate, we lookedl to cut out some of the travelling/not be cooped up in a van endlessly driving but the cost killed that idea as did hiring a camper from Italy to fly over there...0 -

THank you for the links looking at them now:D0 -
THank you googled and eurocamp full.
Other companies use this site or try booking directly. Thomson al fresco is one off top of my head. I only mentioned eurocamp as that's who we went with in a ready erected tent.
Eurocamp only rent statics or tents not a pitch. In fact I don't think any of them.offer just a pitch. So book directly with the site.
It is a MASSIVE site and as you'll have your own accom I seriously can't believe they will be full if you book directly.0 -
Btw we found dfds Dover to Dunkirk to be often the cheapest crossing, although not always. Does take 2hours compared to 1 1/2 going to Calais, but Dunkirk is that little bit closer to the Belgium border0

I would definitely choose Belgium and possibly Holland.
The coast between say De Panne and Knokke is beautiful - long sandy beaches, sand dunes, nice little towns and I have never seen them that crowded. Me and OH found it by accident a few years ago and have been back quite a few times since. It really is a hidden gem.
A lot of the coast in Holland is nice too and there are some lovely places to visit - Leiden, Delft, The Hague.
We used to go to France all the time, everywhere from Brittany, Normandy, Loire Valley, Charente Maritime down to the South of France and I loved all the places BUT I now prefer Belgium.
We went to Duinrell two years ago on a Sun holiday and loved it and intend going back next year (would have gone this year but family circumstances don't make it possible).
Also Belgium is not a very long drive from Calais, unlike the South of France or even the Charente MaritimeThe world is over 4 billion years old and yet you somehow managed to exist at the same time as David Bowie0 -
In august and last minute though there won't be any cheap ferry crossings0
