That's the email of the office holder I contacted. For some reason in the past I've had posts about CEO emails deleted here. If you try to post the url of the obvious site for finding them that gets blocked...

Blame Ofcom - they mandated that Openreach be set up that way to prevent BT having a monopoly over phone and broadband supply. BT got split into several service groups who have to provide wholesale services to companies wanting to re-sell the products to the public. The problem is that we are all customers of BT Openreach, who have a monopoly on the fibre conversion - which is totally wrong - why should anyone with a monopoly not even offer a simple complaints procedure and a simple email to communicate with them
Questions need asking about the working procedures of BT Openreach and if found lacking (which they should/will be) - the monopolies commission should open the work up to competition....0 -

Ludicrous.
Do you mean http://www. ceo email.com (without the gaps) ?0 -
The worst thing of the lot is that BT do not come under the auspices of a "public authority" and hence do not have to answer to www.whatdotheyknow.com .......0

Yes - try posting that correcttly and it gets blocked by the profanity filter - it has to be a deliberate addition to any defaults that the forum software may have.Do you mean http://www. ceo email.com (without the gaps) ?
That's because they are a privately owned company. Ofcom covers some if not all of their activities though. Same sort of thing applies to the energy companies who we all know are thoroughly regulated so they can't rip off the public [cough]. And of course the banks....The worst thing of the lot is that BT do not come under the auspices of a "public authority" and hence do not have to answer to www.whatdotheyknow.com .......0 -

The one with the actual email may be as it leaves it open to spambot harvesting. What I posted was reasonably circumspect but was stil deleted. It got me so !!!!ed off I decided that if it happens to me again I'll desert the MSE forums.0

Have you complained to MSE ?0 -
No. I really CBA as whoever gets the complaint is likely to be the nob that invented the ruling. I've never come across that particular one on any other board I've used and that is quite a lot over the years.0

I have received a reply from Gavin Patterson (CEO) via "Executive Level Complaints" - offering to investigate for me - will update as and when they tell me more !!!0
