No, this is the first company I've applied to.0 -

I haven't done the training yet but I get the feeling that it's similar to Appen transcriptions, in which case, you will soon pick up all the weird and wonderful rules (there will probably be one or two that you will always disagree with) but it's probably worth giving it a go0 -

decided to stick with it until they tell me i'm rubbish!
oddly, the second set of transcriptions were easier than the first ... but i bet i've still got some wrong ...0 -
I've tried applying to the transcription job for ISS, but everytime I hit send it comes back with somekind of server error. Been the same for 3 days now.0

Quite annoyed with this. I received a contract yesterday which has details in it that are completely different to the job description and initial email I received from them.
I started training on the understanding that I would be paid by each line and working hours are set by myself ... but this is not the case.
Payment is £9.5 per hour and there are targets which there's no way on earth I will meet.
I emailed them to say I was disappointed that the initial contact gave false information ... but all they've done is ignore that and send the same contract again!0 -
WeAreGhosts, they seem to operate in a strange way. I got the training test with no instructions. Had to figure it out myself. Here I was thinking how brilliant I am because each one I did said 'yes' and the validation report showed I got most of them right. All of that meant nothing because the feedback showed I barely got any right! I will see what happens with the next set.0

Did you get the guidelines? There was an example missing on the tags on my copy and they sent me new guidelines which explained some things differently - not helpful!
I had to work out the software too.
Good luck with the next set.0 -

That sounds different to the contract I was sent which said payment would be per utterance? Very strange.0 -

i just read through to the end of the second contract i was sent, which shows a line that wasn't on the first, about if you don't meet the targets after 3 weeks you get paid 0.047p per utterance. which is fine, but with getting so many wrong i think I'd be putting in many, many hours for nothing!0 -
I assume that's 4.7p per utterance (0.047p would be a bit low
) ? Sounds about the same as what I earned transcribing short 'utterances' with Appen last year. If it's the same kind of thing you can expect to achieve more than minimum wage per hour depending on motivation. Though personally I found the work got old very fast with the stickler supervisors and weird accents/unclear audio, some people seemed to get tons done and made good money!
