  • Does anyone else find the qualification test frustrating? Between the inconsistent ratings and non-recording of answers, I feel like beating my head against a wall!

I wrote strokes on a sheet of paper for the amount of queries on the test and checking them off as I do them just so I won't have to keep logging in and out to check my percentages. My report shows far fewer than I have done. Some queries have cycled around at least 3 times but I never get the box showing the correct answer so I am assuming my ratings were not recorded for those so they go back into the pool. At this rate I may never finish!

Okay, rant over. I have resigned myself to accept what will be will be. If I am meant to do it I will magically pass, if not I will spectacularly fail.

Hello all, I've just registered with company and have applied for the Audio Transcription job. I have received the guidelines and although things do seem to make some sense I'm also thinking  a bit ... hoping things become clearer once I see the software ...

Is there anyone else just starting out? Or did anyone else think this when they first joined?

Joined a few weeks ago, spent a week reading and understanding the training, did 200 training hits and fell way short of a pass - the science of the subjective to me! Withdrew my application.

    Sorry to hear that, tgon.
  • Has anyone done a short term transcription job with them?. If so about how much do you earn part time?. Have passed the training even though it was not perfect, the coding is a bit fiddly to get used to. Considering the contract.

Is anyone else still waiting for payment for the last invoice period? These inconsistent payment dates are getting frustrating!

Yes, still waiting here. This is now the latest I've ever been paid, going to have to pester them I think.

Yes, for me it was quite frustrating and a bit stressful on the tests and the first week on production, but now it´s ok, have you tried to log out and then log in to see if they recycled issue is solved?

I completed the initial training of 20 lines of audio transcriptions. Got the results to find I had only got 5 right. They've sent me what they think I should have typed, but on some of them I completely disagree with their transcription! They've now sent me the qualification set (which I can't quite believe, seeing as I got so few right on the first go), but I don't see that it's worth carrying on having got a lot wrong and disagreeing with the transcription ...

Any advice ...? Is this normal?

Out of interest, have you done any of the Appen/ABH transcription work?
