I hope ISS aren't going to do the ABH thing of putting you on review for metrics after the first week on the job. No way am I going to hit all of them, especially speed which might take weeks to get comfortable with if it is feasible at all. Actually at ABH I think it took me at least 2 months to even reach 100, and that seemed fairly typical of new raters...
  • I'm pretty sure raters are automatically put under review by the client's software once stats are available, it's not done by ABH or ISS.

Received an email about applying to the Search Engine Evaluator job, thing is that recently i have started working with LF but am still interested in doing this as well, anyone know if i can do both? or more importantly if they use the same client as LF?

No, you cannot do two WSE roles for competing companies. Stick to LF or risk losing both.

You might be able to get away with it, but would you want to? Sometimes you'll end up with similar tasks that have different rating methods - In the end you'll be confusing the two and making mistakes, reducing your overall quality.

Does anyone know if ISS's search engine evaluation job is the same as Lionbridge's side by side search engine evaluation job?

The one I'm doing isn't. We were told that there were 2 new projects starting this month though, so not sure whether they both come under the umbrella of SEE, or if the other is one of the ones listed separately on the website..

The current role has only just started, so no one is exactly in a position to answer this.

As for me, it looks like I've already been removed from production after just one week. How is everyone else getting on?

hey guys, i reapplied with a new email to the web evaluator role. Quickly got NDA email and signed it. Now I wait to get the training information, then take a test and I can start working?

How long would you say it is until I start the actual job?

How much time to invest in the training to pass?

Cheers...looking forward to getting this started.
