You'll find it so much easier if the client uses the Appen metrics, a lot easier than the impossible mess it was this time last year. The only metrics you had to keep an eye on were RPH and getting 2/3 of RTAs correct. I think there's only been 1 or 2 SLRs on the roster since the new metrics came in.0

Yes. That's the same project I was on at ABH (think the rest of you guys were on the one to do with 'freshness'?).
Actually, you're right. I still have my Appen guidelines as well, and it's pretty much the same document. The Ads Assessor one was also the same, only with an additional chapter at the end which is why it was longer. As a result you needed to take a larger number of things into account when judging, which is basically why I failed. Meaning it SHOULD be easier to pass this current one..Marvelthewondercat wrote: »I started the training and then decided to just say I didn't want the position. I can not deal with doing that project again. The stress of it almost broke me when I did it for ABH. I'd rather be poor than go through the metric and RTA hell again.
For me, it was having to do it for 4 hours a day that was the worst thing. So as they haven't said anything about minimum hours yet, it does at least seem doable.
TBH, I think the previous job was basically the easiest SEE role we could have possibly had, and so for 11 months we got very lucky. It's just time for us to return to the harder stuff now, though.0 -
Just briefly read the email and the guidelines.
I want to sit and cry.0 -
I haven't read the guidelines or watched the video yet. I'm not looking forward to it after seeing the reactions here :shocked:0

It might not be too bad, the thing is that ABH is an odd company that takes delight in torturing it's applicants and workers with nasty things like 20 hour unpaid training tests (things that I'm not sure the client gave two figs about). They love the stick, not the carrot.
So I hope it can be better with ISS. Then again if I don't make it through the qualification I'll not regret it too much0 -

Yeah things were getting REALLY good and now it's over0 -
It's a shame this contract ended but good luck to everyone training for the new project.0

I applied to iSoftStone for the 'Anotator' job role on the 19th, and yet to hear back...does this mean my application was a dud?
I'm clearly overqualified and should get it no problem imo, perhaps previous work experience with Appen puts me in the automatic decline zone? I would have thought it would help me get hired instead...0 -
@qaiszqaisz Several of us have worked for ABH and no problems working here (in fact went straight from one to the other) so it wont be that.
How's everyone finding the 'new' training? It seems to be coming back to me at last so it's not too bad (so far anyway, and apart from the usual obviously out of date/dodgy queries).0 -

Managed less than 50% on the first training set, so it doesn't look like I have much chance of reaching the required score on the second.
Will spend today doing some more reading, and then take the second set tomorrow.0
