How long would you say it is until I start the actual job?
You'll spend the first day studying the materials. Possibly longer than that if you haven't done the job before, or just want to be very thorough. Then two more days going through the two training sets. Then a further day on the actual exam. Assuming you pass that first time, you then get another task to complete the day after that, which also needs to be passed. The following day will then be spent signing the contracts. So, a minimum of 6 full days before starting work.0 -
I'm also off production. If the client automates the system to do this, the client is a greater spotted tit. It would clearly be better to allow people to get used to production pace not do more tests you can already pass...0

Do you think they're using RPH as one of the metrics? If so, that's ridiculous. How could it even be humanly possible to reach the minimum considering the complexity of the task, combined with all the slow loading pages thanks to IE..?!
Anyway, I'm sure I lasted at least 2 or 3 weeks before being removed at Appen, so it's not looking good going forward. Time to start looking for alternative employment opportunities already, I think..0 -
Yeah, I suspect they do. Appen seemed to. Agreed about IE and the toolbar, using 11 helps slightly but it seems to crash more. Either way it scuppers my rph by making straightforward pages take too long to rate so I can't take the care needed for tricky ones. Which are often rta's, ha.
Good idea to keep an eye out for the next job I think. At least with iss we can take a day off to do that.0 -
I keep failing everything, so not even at the stage of being 'on production'.
It's not sounding at all positive though thus far.0 -
Anyone else not received pay for last month? Got the invoice quite a while ago but no payment yet.0

Got mine on the 17th, have you received yours yet? I notice that there always seem to be one or two who get paid late.0

Just wondering for those who applied for this and were successful - did you upload a resume?Toiletries challenge - Start 362 Current 329£10 a day in Feb - £70.79/£2800

I did
No idea if it makes a difference though!

I didn't upload one, and to be honest, I don't suspect it does make a difference.0
