You could try washing your hair with conditioner rather than shampoo; the vast majority of shampoos have high levels of Sodium Laureth Sulphate (or one of her sisters!) and while this is an excellent degreaser (same compounds are in washing up liquid), it can be too effective in some cases. I won't bore you with the sciencey bit
but if you google "conditioner only washing" or "CO Washing" you will find a wealth of useful information.
Hope that helps!
I will second this. I had very dry , very frizzy curly hair for all my life. I started co washing about a year ago. At first I used to use shampoo every third wash but now I just use conditioner. Any old conditioner seems to work with me. Plus a frizzease serum to finish with
My hairdresser has been cutting my hair for 32 years and she can't belive the transformation.
Oh and my occasional dandruff has gone completely too0 -
Thirded for Co-washing. I use a very cheap conditioner from Asda (25p each I think). Then a decent conditioner afterwards. bit more conditioner then some product from Naked Style product from Boots.0

I tried CO washing for a few weeks and although my hair was in better condition than it had ever been I found it needed washing daily as my hair is very fine and it made it lank. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Heat and sun exposure are common causes of dry hair.
You can also apply hair oils.
avoid daily shampooing.
use a protein-enriched conditioner to repair hair damage.
avoid heated styling products.
You can use Dove Intense Damage Therapy Shampoo for dry and damaged hair.0 -
Drink plenty of water and eat healthy diet which can provide you proper vitamins and proteins. you can use coconut oil for hair massage this is good cure to get healthy smooth hair.0

I've been using the loreal professional range and wella products the last few weeks and my hair in much better condition. I also use a hair mask overnight before washing and shampoo and use a tiny amount of conditioner just on the ends. My hair has been less dry but not as greasy on the roots.
Another thing that seems to be helping is taking daily vitamins. I take a multi-vitamin, 7 seas fish oil for healthy hair skin etc, biotin and also a hair and nail supplement. My hair and nails have grown and feel a lot thicker and stronger. I'd probably pinpoint it to the fish oils the most though.0
