I have normal coloured hair, and find the dove makes my hair really greasy after one day. Argan stuff is good, and have found it in the pound shops. Or used to get henara/ henna wax intensive conditioner treatments.
• You can apply home made treatment like you use curd and lemon mixture it's really helpful.

This stuff is amazing, as good as Kerastasse and Redken, just this one though I don't like the regular conditioner from the same brand.

An update on Dove products:

I used these products:-

Z

Z

All three together worked very well, I used the serum last night straight after washing my hair while it was still wet, then again this morning before straightening and then a weeny amount after straightening to smooth it down and my hair is a lot less frizzy! Plus, the serum is only £2.29 at the moment in Tesco so its definitely worth a try!

Judging by reviews of the serum, it works over two weeks to get hair back to a natural soft state.

Sorry, I can't post links yet, but I recommend Kerastase Aqua Oleum Treatment. It's expensive, but when you consider you get 4 bottles for £22, it's not too bad.

I use one bottle each time on my hair, which is halfway down my back and thick. If your hair is shorter and finer, you might get two treatments out of each bottle.

I also use Kerastase's Elixir Ultime oil as a leave-in to calm my frizz-prone waves.

Does the Dove hair products smell like the other Dove stuff? I'd like to try it, but I can't stand that 'dove smell' :p

It doesn't smell like a bar of Dove soap, if thats what you mean. I can't say I bothered to see what it smells like to be honest lol, it definitely doesn't smell like Pantene though as I love the smell of that, just hate what their products do to my hair.

What does Pantene do to your hair? I used to love Pantene years ago, but the silicones always made me slip and slide in the shower!

Actually, they used to make this restructuring spray, in a little glass spray bottle that did absolutely amazing things to my hair. It was a leave-in spray that you sprayed on just washed, damp hair and it sealed the split ends and smoothed the cuticle. My frizzy hair always looked smooth and sleek and gorgeous after using it. But they discontinued that too

The last time I used Pantene was about 3-4 years ago when Cat Deeley started advertising the new line that was supposed to be lightweight on the hair. My hair looked lank and greasier after washing than it did before. I haven't used Pantene since.

I get so much build up with it that my hair just never feels clean if I use it, just like its had too much serum or something.
It smells lovely but its just !!!!.

The macadamia oil conditioner that they sell in Home Bargains, Savers and some Poundlands is an amazing smell though, it doesn't make my hair much softer but I just buy it for the smell if anything.

Anyway, back to Dove: I would suggest the serum as I didn't really notice any smell from it, and I put some on my fringe!
