Hi , I switched to the Halifax a month ago and despite funding it with over £750 and having two direct debits set up I have received nothing .
Having just now spoke to them I am told its because the two direct debits have not been debited yet . One of them is a credit card which I simply have not used this month....Is this correct ???

I would say no, neither of my direct debits have come off yet and I just received my £100, not had a £5 yet though.

I was about to say that as well. I know two people have switched to Halifax and they both got their £100 before two direct debits or the 700 had gone out/in.

What did Halifax say when you asked them where your £100 switching incentive was?

And I think you know why you haven't had your Reward payment for June?

Halifax just said as I have had no activity on my set up direct debits as yet then I would not get the incentive. Maybe I should call again to clarify!

Just called Halifax again and spoke to their switching dept. Apparently two direct debits must be transferred ,not set up after the account is opened as I have done. Therefore no £100 for me . ....

Have just received my £100 for switching. I transferred 2 direct debits (although neither have actually been debited yet), which tends it support the above post about having to transfer the DDs rather then set them up yourself.

I also transferred in (and out) £750 as well but not sure this was necessary to get the £100.

I did exactly the same. Just switched it to First Direct. Lets see if I can get 100 from this attempt!

Does anyone know if the 2 direct debits that are switched must be the ones that are debited, to receive the £100?

For an existing customer, there are already 2 DDs on the account which are being debited (to receive the £5), and 2 dormant DDs on the account to be closed.

This is made quite clear on the Halifax website.
