Afternoon all,
Lilyplonk I had much the same fright when my husband and I split up in 1999. Him in his wisdom decided if he was going to pay maintenance for his 3 kids, he was going to claim tax credits. He'd got a hope in hell of claiming anything anyway as his wage was too high but it didn't stop him trying.
Next thing I had a letter much the same as yours. Scared me half to death it did. Obviously I was on benefits at the time and I got dragged into the benefit office and interviewed under caution. I forget the details now but it was being investigated as a joint claim.
No solicitor needed thankfully. I told them that nowhere on any claim form would they find my signature and that I knew nothing about it.
With 5 kids to feed and no money, I was crawling up the walls with worry! Nothing came of it thankfully. No action was taken against me cause there was no evidence. Hubby was awarded sod all. There was lots of bad feeling between us for months though.
Anyway changing the subject ever so slightly. Had a lovely morning wedding dress shopping. My daughter has chosen her dress and veil. She will look stunning! Hubby has transferred the money for her dress. I have paid for her shoes out of my shopandscan vouchers.
The 'Girls' have had a good haircut and the house has had a quick clean today, I doubt if i'll get much done today.
Tea? Aint thought about that yet. One step at a time.
Sistercas, have a lovely time on holiday.
Onwards and forwards,

Sistercas that looks lovely, hope the weather stays good for you xx
Lilyplonk, we are going through the same thing, they keep asking for more and more paperwork and you only get a two week time slot to get everything sorted out and the letter took four days to get here from down the road and round the corner
DS has been down at the outlaws helping FIL hang a new gate, which is great and means he has not been glued to his computer all day.
Since he broke up from college my electric bill has gone up by £10 a month  So I am [STRIKE]pushing [/STRIKE]encouraging him to get out and about
Weather has been really hot and sunny today and one of my neighbours has given us a lovely set of planters:)
It is going grey and overcast out there now so I must love and leave you and get the washing in.

Afternoon all,
Just having a sit down & breather from the massive pile of ironing. We have all been struck with a d & v bug over the last couple of days apart from DS1,DS2 thought he'd got food poisoning after the BBQ but obviously not as we didnt go to it ! Don't feel too bad now just a bit weak.DS1 took Lyla for her walk this morning, think he quite enjoyed it.She is such a softie- a wagon came down the road this morning and got into difficulty, narrow road/dead end,he kept reversing back & forth and it sounded quite loud with the doors open and she hid under the table. The sight of such a big dog quivering was like something off a cartoon, bless
Oh well better carry on with the ironingx

Hello all
Lily plonk, def get some advice. Clearly it's not paid to be honest xxxx
I'm melting today.
I am on the countdown to the end of term. The older 2 have had enough and I struggle to get the youngest into school anyway. I am so tired. Didn't get up till 7am this morning.
I have avoided the shops today. Need to break the habit of going daily to the supermarket.
I've got ironing to do, but it's too hot!
Dinner tonight is pasta for dd and ds2. Baked potato for ds. Ivd got naan and bhajis from the freezer and Himself can have sausage mash and beans when he gets in.
Hope everyone is ok.
Love, hugs and spoons xxx0 -
I had my pelvic scan and I'm very glad DH came as it was external and internal, and the operator was male. I know things like that aren't supposed to matter in a medical setting, but I do find it a bit unsettling. It was actually quite painful and at one point DH had to move his car so the nurse (female) sat with me instead.
Towards the end I asked the operator if he could see anything and he just said "Can I see anything? That is a good question" then a huge pause before "I can see lots of things"
So I said well does everything look as it should do? And he said "what does that mean?" At this point I was feeling really peed and the nurse looked a bit funny at him. So I said well does it look normal, not normal? And then DH returned and he didn't say anything.
I was wishing I hadn't even flipping asked at this point but as I got dressed I said "so you can't tell me anything?" And he just said that the team have to look at it together and My GP would get the results on Tuesday.
I came home half angry and half tearful, but I will try to forget about it and concentrate on looking forward to our few days away at the end of the week.
A bit of an unproductive day otherwise. 3 loads of washing, a quick sweep of a few floors and 2 rows of knitting.0 -
Evening all
Still here, still knackered, still whinging, lol.
I have dried washing on the line after work every day this week as it's been so warm.
I bought a new dress from the local CS, I wore it y'day & after work I gave DD2 a lift to collect her/my car that has been repaired. I'm in the car with the DGC & a little voice from the back sas 'Nana, I need the toilet'. No facilities nearby, so I got out the car with her, & as I can't bend far I held her against my chest with her knees bent, I managed not to get wet feet & was feeling very pleased. Until, that is I realised I hadn't moved my dress & some it was wet all down the front, hey ho, it's washed & dried again now.
I made hubby a burger, mushroom & cheese stack for tea & he really enjoyed it.
Hug to all in need.

dandy-candy (((HUGS))) and posi-vibes for a good result when you finally get it.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Just popped back to see how dandy candy got on. The way the operator treated you was appalling. I hope you complain.0

Its quite likely that the operator was not meaning to be difficult, but is not actually allowed to give any diagnosis without the scan result being viewed by a consultant. Their bedside manner probably needs a bit more work, but I would be quite shocked if a radiographer told me what they could see and whether it looked normal or not. They are very skilled, but telling a patient their diagnosis is not part of their remit.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Thank you for kind thoughts
I used to get sent for scans to the local hospital and they would always give me an idea of what was going on. Now my GP sends people to a little clinic around the corner so I expect it has different rules.
I won't complain, but if ever I need another test I will ask GP if I can go to the hospital instead.
It's very hot here this evening. I might have to venture into the attic to get down a fan for my room (my smart kids still have theirs down from the last heat wave!). I have the doors and windows open atm but have just discovered an ants nest on the patio - I hope they don't creep into the house....0
