Morning :hello:

Thanks Judi :o but I must admit to not being able to grow a decent cabbage :D Also, a lot of it is down to the weather plus having a garden that faces the right way, lol

Yesterday started well then went a bit wrong, then more wrong so I gave up. I would say I started at the top, went downhill then when I reached the bottom and thought it was over, I tripped and fell into a well :rotfl:

Miss tru starts a new job today :T She's been strugging to find full time so she's been looking for another part time one, she's found one that fits perfectly with the job she's already got. I've told her expect a tax shock on payday :D and to ring the tax office to split her tax code between the two jobs.

Haven't made my potato salad yet, I WILL do that today. And I WILL plant the lettuce seeds. I need to sort through the eggs and have a word with the pepper plants, which have grown really well but most are refusing to grow the actual part that I can eat :D

Lilyplonk When money/budgeting goes wrong, it hangs over you like a big black cloud - even when you've done as much as you can for now and have to wait for the next thing to be sorted. Hope it all calms down for you soon x

Hi Lilyplonk so sorry to hear of your Housing Benefit troubles. My daughter is having problems - they suspended her benefit because they hadn't received something they had never asked for - when told that they said they don't tell you they need something you are expected to know!!!

Have you thought of visiting Citizens Advice. They could check what you should be entitled to (I wouldnt trust Housing Benefit not to make a mistake)

Ps a lurker here but always a reader

Morning all

A lovely warm day here today, yesterday I finally managed to cut the lawns so the garden is looking lovely once again.
We harvested one of dh's massive marrows last night so I shall pop that in salt today ready to turn it into jars of marrow & tomato chutney.

Housework is all done, just going to have a bath then I shall spend the day sorting ds's wardrobe and drawers out, he has had another growth spurt so need to sort all his clothes that are too small.

Dandy-candy Good luck today with your scan, I had a pelvic scan in Feb and wasn't sure if I would manage to hold so much water, I found it more uncomfortable when he ran the scanner over my tummy because it pressed on my bladder, but I managed it and I am sure you will too :)

Dinner tonight is HM Pizza, wedges and HM onion rings - DS's favourite.

Hope everyone has a lovely day x

Hi everyone,

Lilyplonk, I second the suggestion to visit CAB. Don't give up, it sounds as if they've made a mistake somewhere.

I need to collect DS' suit from the drycleaner. The only one who said they could get it back was the Timpson's in the local Sainsbugs. When I took it down there was a notice saying that the manager would be back at 10.00, please wait and he would give 10% discount. I went and got some milk then went back at 10.00 but when I asked for my 10% he said I should have waited! grr.

Had another embroidery lesson yesterday, I really enjoy it - the teacher is in her 80's and has had a very interesting life, the things she has made are beautiful, I wish I was as creative.

Have a good day.

RR Congrats on the promotion.

Still having skin/rash/allergy problem, even after 2 visits to Dermatology, umpteen to Drs. Who has been very good, strongest creams etc., about with no improvement, the latest theory is I am going to change my tablets back to older ones, to see if it is those which are causing it. Chemist didn't have the older ones as not as popular any more, so have to go for them today, but will do a day half without, which I usually can manage, Tramadol may be my savour, but will only take it if essential. Just to stop itching will be worth it. Have even been knitting/crocheting with white gloves on.:o

Having 10 days at home, before heading west and south until mid-August in the 'van. Trying to catch up the washing from the last trip. Using non-bio due to above, but some things no clean, so will have to re-wash those.

Lilyplonk - have you tried entering your figures into https://www.entitledto.co.uk at least you can confirm if it is correct or not.

HH, LW, Molly, HS and all others not up to par, have a big ((hug)), spoons, etc., from me. Although having a moan above, in the grand scheme of things am very good.

Take care everyone. DG

Morning all!
Haven't been around, been busy at work, and real life has taken over, although in a good way for the most part!
DD was her friend's bridesmaid on Saturday, so had a lovely day at the wedding. DS will be 19 on Sunday, how did those years sneak past without me noticing????
Still seeing my friend, and am finally allowing myself to be happy again, and it feels strange but amazing! It's been a bumpy ride, and still a bit hair raising at times, however the good times and smiles are worth it now that the family can see the good he is doing me. The MIL is still having her moments, especially just now as FIL is very ill and may be coming to the end of his journey, but we will ride out the storm.
I hope everyone is doing as well as can be, and hopefully I will manage to pop in more often, been missing everyone's news!
RIP Iain

Morning all,

Phew it's hot. I decided to sit and have a bit of a sunbathe for the first time this year. Only trouble is I can't stay still for long. I never understand how people just lie there baking endlessly.

Dandy - Hope the scan went ok
Lilyplonk - What a pain. I hate any dealings with that lot, they never seem to get anything right.

Hugs to those that would like them. Hope Hilly is ok.

Have a good day :)

Another beautiful day and I'm on holiday :j:j

xx

oooh how lovely - I'm sorry that I missed this post due to cross-posting with you.

Not surprised that you've got sore legs after getting to the top of that - take it easy today and enjoy the rest of your onvacation.gif.

This is where we went to (Glen Nevis) a couple of months ago :j - and I'm still getting withdrawal symptoms. In fact, that is the caravan that we stayed in :D.

Thanks for your comments, peeps. donny-gal - I'll check out that website :T.
