Oh dear! I managed to stay unfed but already dreaming about tea tonight!0 -
I'm thinking today it will be left-over roast chicken, mashed potatoes and some sort of vegetable (cauliflower possibly) with gravy. Not quite as extravagant.
Unfortunately, I'm not quite sure what we have in for my lunch today. Think it'll be a corned beef sandwich.0 -
I had cold lasagne for lunch!

If anyone is hungry I have all the non-red ones from a bag of jelly sweets going begging...0 -
Thanks everyone... I got home and ate a slice of cake... I've taken a word section so OH will definitely know ..:rotfl:
It's pork stroganoff for us!0 -
Griddled lamb steak, chilli potato wedges, grilled tomatoes & peppers - and a Tiger beer!0

I'm sorry to hear someone deleted a food based conversation. This is possibly one of the nicest things I;veread/done all day.
Fishfinger sandwich on homemade (breadmaker) wholemeal with lettuce, tomato, cucumber and tartare sauce.
Homemade strawberry tart with creme pat filling

Ah, a fishfinger sandwich, the finest of gourmet foods.
Have you tried one with salad cream rather than tartar sauce?
I usually have half with ketchup and half with salad cream because I can't decide which I prefer. I occasionally have tartar sauce if I'm in the mood.
Do you put peas on yours?
I like to make a double decker sandwich, frozen peas, cooked obviously, on the bottom layer with the fish fingers and stuff on the other layer.
I'm in foodie heaven at the moment as most of the bistro's, cafe's and pubs I use seem to be doing fishfinger sarnies at the moment. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -
I would have thought it was deleted because the conversation already exists elsewhere

I dunno if there is a new forum mod but it seems all sorts of posts get deleted these days... I understand if they are offensive but a discussion about food is hardly that!
I love a fish finger sandwich, but I'd prefer mine on soft fluffy bought white bread. I might even put some cheese on. Now I want a hash brown sandwich.
Sadly I'm on a diet and will have chicken and avocado bagel for lunch. For dinner its some "using things up" pasta with garlic bread.0
