I was ready to propose a glass of wine!

Ah, well, storm in a teacup.

    Just start another one.

Wife is back in about 15 minutes so I have prepared:

Roast chicken with stuffing, roast potatoes, peas and sweetcorn. We eat late here because she's not usually back until after 10:30pm.

And there's the aforementioned chocolate and vanilla cheesecake for afters.

We're not doing the red wine thing though - as I mentioned neither of us like it - but she will probably pour herself a glass of baileys. Too hot and stuffy for alcohol for me though.

Did I kill the thread by telling Tropez to give me the Strawberry gateaux before Buzzy took it to go with her Cheescake, lasagne and wine?! :rotfl:

Did someone mention tea? *goes to put the kettle on* I'm finding now that I've started having a cup of tea round about now it helps me sleep better.

Oooh that sounds good! I don't like red wine either but I love baileys! Switch to Pimms for the summer months treat though. It's too hot here too, I'm struggling to drink my tea!

You read my mind! I think whoever deleted it is on a diet and couldn't handle it :D

Just found this thread and you have me salivating, even though I only finished my dinner 5 minutes ago!

Totally cheating dinner here tonight. M&S pulled pork, rosemary roasted new potatoes and a salad with some yummy dressing from the garlic farm. I'm going to stink tomorrow as I annointed the spuds with toasted garlic mayo from the garlic farm too. Swilled down with a glass of rose.

    Wish I had the cheesecake!

Off to research my dessert options. Might have to ask hubby where he hid the Easter eggs we confiscated from the toddler.

:rotfl: After all this time, you expect him (hubby) not to have scoffed them?

I need to stop clicking on this thread. It's making me rather hungry.:o

I just find it means I have to get up more in the night.
At least with red wine I'm so comatose I don't notice. So if Tropez has more bottles cluttering up the house.......
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

He hates chocolate and all things sweet, never touches them. Why do you think I married him :D

It's funny you should mention that. I was going to mention in my above post that it also seems to have stopped me getting up in the night for a P!

I have a spare bottle of wine. Hubby got it for Christmas and we don't drink it either. *hands bottle of wine over*
