Hey Maryland cookie I'm back. I stayed in a place called gulf del sur this time wouldn't recommend as not much there, it was a Xmas and birthday gift so really can't complain, but didn't compare to playa de las Americas where I went in June for my main holiday!

I had a massive relapse on the smoking as fags were so cheap over there. Now I'm back I have my head back in the game of fully quitting - for good!

    How are you? X

  • Glad you're back! Not been to that part of Tenerife, but go to Costa Adeje, which is part of PDLA really, most years. We love it there.

Ive been back on it on the gym, used to run a fair bit but never really enjoyed it, so gave up. Prefer classes at the gym. How far do you run?

Hope your back no smoking now your home :0) x

There wasn't anything there really we kept going back to playa de las Americas, went up mount tiede too as we had car hire!

I am back to being a non smoker, went back to the stop smoking clinic last night to get more tablets, I forgot to tell them I had been very naughty all week smoking last week luckily they didn't make me blow into the nicotine tester!

Good on you going back to the gym I was barely going ... Not enough to warrant £24.99 per month! I go running around my local park it's only about 1 mile. No wander I'm putting weight on :( x

  • In all the years we've been to Tenerife we've never been up Mount Teide! Did you go to Siam Park?

Well done on going back to the clinic, was it hard stopping smoking after you'd smoked on holiday?

I'm just debating on going to the gym, my head says I should, as do the scales, but I'm sat here in my PJ's lacking the motivation. I know I'll feel better if I go.......

Have a great weekend, are you doing anything nice? X

We didn't go to Siam park, I've heard that's the best one? But in June we went to Aqua land there was some quite scary rides there!

I couldn't motivate myself to go to the gym that's why I have had to cancel the membership, at least running is free! I am trying to eat healthy... That is very difficult.

Had a quiet weekend, I had my leaving meal as I changed locations at my job, and went out for lunch... Did not spend too much really as the OH bought me drinks mostly bless him!

It was difficult but I felt ready to stop again, in honesty they didn't taste nice on holiday i have always found ciggys abroad to taste weird ... No idea why! I could feel the difference in smoking again compared to when I wasn't smoking, felt dirty.. Smelly and generally unhealthy. Feeling better now it's only day 3 and the tablets are making me feel rough but I know the benefits will kick in soon!

    How was your weekend? X

    Hey Diary,

Time for a long overdue update!
I have to admit I have not been as soon the case as usual with the money saving, and debt busting.... but I am getting back on the case now it is still really getting to me, I hate feeling like I can't go out or cannot buy something because I have payments to meet on my debts. I want it gone once and for all.

I slipped up with the stopping smoking while on holiday in Tenerife last month, now I am back I have stopped again as buying ciggy's over in this country is extremely expensive.

I have been thinking a lot about the money I owe, and I have decided to change the way I am dealing with it, I have decided I am going to tackle the smaller debts first ... rather than going on the interest element. I am feeling deflated as I feel like I am not getting anywhere, so to keep myself on track I am going to clear the smallest so I am getting somewhere.
I owe bank of mum £164 which is the remaining for the £470 borrowed for a family holiday...Silly I know, but I am paying £35 a month by standing order so clearing this off will put £35 a month back into my pocket.

I have cancelled my gym membership, I was not using it enough to warrant paying £24.99 a month for it, I know it does not seem a lot but actually looking at it on a year basis that is £299.88 off of a debt!!
I am also still pursuing the garage I purchased my car from to reclaim the amount paid to get it back on the road which sadly went onto my debts!!

I owe more than my original signature stated so I am going to update it, the reason being I had not included debts to family members, or the recent car repairs I added to my debts. Scary that I am £16600 in debt... Where do I even begin to touch that massive amount!!

A week on Friday it is payday, It is looking as though I may have a small amount of money left... I am going to save half into my emergency fund, and pay half to my debt. I feel this is the best option because having no emergency fund is not helpful at Christmas, or If something goes wrong on my car.

    Until next time........ x

So Today has been a NSD, but I have also paid off bank of mum. It was my smallest debt at £164 which I am paying £35 a month standing order to every month. I was thinking most of last night and I had £300 in my cash ISA which is for my Florida holiday spending money which is Next march..... but I decided my ISA is only paying 0.75% and I want to free up more monthly money to tackle my next debt.
I have plenty of months to get my Florida savings back before I go!
So now It is on to my Tesco Credit card which is sitting at £371.83 which will be interest payable this month, and also my second smallest debt. Feeling positive for getting my mum paid off, and putting another £35 per month back into my pocket.
