Do you have a link to that, sunflowersuffolk? Sounds ideal for one of my offspring who will be moving out shortly! ;)
    yes here it is http://www.dfsbeds.co.uk/cart.php?target=product&product_id=6134&category_id=936

However this company DFS are part of Bedzrus, who have terrible reviews on trustpilot. Also they only deliver to ground floor of flats and my son is on 1st floor with no one to help him.

So I have foud same bed with sleepland beds at £314 incl 2 drawers. A lot more but excellent reviews and own 2 man crew to deliver indoors and help construct if needed. I will ring them tomorrow and find out how soon they can deliver.

My son is a paramedic and I was trying to find somewhere with a nhs discount, but no luck apart from bensons beds.

The bed itself seems good, but I'm certainly no expert!

    Hi,
Can anybody recommend a decent mattress please?
I have to say it is for a person of about 23 stone!
    Thanks for any advise.

I'm also looking to buy a new mattress, and would like some advice on what to look for. I know pocket sprung, with at least 1000 springs, but what else? I tried out some mattresses in John Lewis (very expensive!) and thought most of them were too firm.

Also, what are the good brands? I want one that will last. Looking to spend about £500 for a double, which I know isn't loads, but hopefully enough for something decent.

  • Hi, I've tagged on to the end of this thread as I'm not sure where to post a new thread!
Has anyone got any experience of the Laygel topped mattresses?
    http://sensationsleep.co.uk/product/mattresses/gelflex-laygel-mattress/
They seem a bit of a bargain, but I can't find anywhere nearby where I can try one.
Any comments would be very welcome.
    Thanks

  • Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole, it may be the best product in the world. But they have no terms and conditions on their website that I can see at all.

Not very professional or even legal.

    Hi Everyone,

This is my first post on MSE, any help is greatly appreciated!

After trolling through tonnes of mattress sites and reading hundreds of biased reviews I'm also stuck with regards to buying a new mattress. I went down to dreams today and I'm pretty sure that the pocket spring / memory foam combo is the one for me. I'm aware that Dreams are big rip-off merchants so i decided to find a similar mattress online.

Please can anyone tell me if this a good mattress? The shop seems very reputable with a 100% feedback score and there is a phone number to call if any problems occur. I'm just worried that because the mattress is so cheap for 2000 springs it won't be good quality!

As I'm new I'm unable to post links but the mattress i'm referring to is the "2000 POCKET MEMORY FOAM MATTRESS 3FT/4FT/4FT6/5FT/6FT SINGLE DOUBLE KING SIZE" on ebay sold by bedexpress123.

    Thanks,

    Tony
  • Hi

Does anyone have any experience of this mattress? Would it be considered good value for money?

Sorry to hijack an old thread... anyone got a recommendation for a cheap but good single mattress for a 6 year old.

He's not heavy, so I doubt the mattress needs to have the same considerations as an adult, but I don't want to go so cheap it's naff.

Skint at the moment so really need the cheapest I can find without compromising safety or comfort..
