£60 seems the norm around here so getting the tap done at the same time has certainly saved you money:money::T
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

At the same time, there's no requirement on anybody to buy your house, or to offer the full asking price.

By saving £70 or so on a boiler service, you may just be putting off a potential buyer.

If someone wants a property for, say £250K, then why would the lack of a boiler service at £70 deter them?
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

... because it's indicative of other items that might not have been done, it suggests an owner might have been short on the readies, and so had to scrimp on repairs, and might indicate someone who knows that, if serviced, their boiler will require several hundred pounds spent on it... a bill a buyer will be landed with.

Conversely, if selling a house for 250k, why on earth risk scrimping on a seventy quid service, getting the gutters cleaned, or fixing a broken window latch, thus upsetting potential buyers.

No much to service in todays boilers, but you pay for a check list showing certain things are ok (or Not).........they usually vaccum out a bit of dust but thats about it.

And those pesky combustion readings ay? Clogged condense traps and burner door seals (thinking of my not so lovely promax).
