Good morning everyone.

What a morning I have had already.

DS1 has missed the bus on purpose, we had an argument last night over buying clothes!!!!!!! He wants all expensive designer stuff he is 14, we only bought him new tracksuit bottoms about 3 weeks ago and the are half way up his leg already. So I said could we just buy him some cheap ones from sports soccer for him to mess around in for over the summer holidays, and he has gone up the wall at me. Starts ranting and raving at us so I took his phone off him last night.

So this morning he spends ages in the shower, comes down messes around with his breakfast then sits at the table saying he not going to school until he gets his phone back. I tell him he not getting it until he starts behaving and not ranting at us. He walks out, but has missed the bus.

So now I have got to take him the 6 miles to school in the car, but not before I take my other DS to school and then walk the dog, I have phoned the school and told them the argument and why he has done it and they laughed and said what a !!!!!! he is lol.

Kids dont you just love/hate them, and I got to put up with this for 6 weeks, I am going to be pulling my hair out this year.

Please tell me it gets better.

Not sure if this is old news and already posted but for anyone who uses checkoutsmart, according to MSM Morribobs have the Kleenex double pack of mansize tissues at £1 and you can claim 50p up to 10 times on checkoutsmart.

good as a buy alone in Morribobs or good as a A v M or T v M shop.

this was sent to me by email this morning :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Might be worth revisiting the Veet reviews on Amazon :rotfl:

"Afterhaving been told my danglies looked like an elderly rastafarian I decided totake the plunge and buy some of this as previous shaving attempts had only beenmildly succesful and I nearly put my back out trying to reach the moredifficult bits. Being a bit of a romantic I thought I would do the deed on themissus's birthday as a bit of a treat.
I ordered it well in advance and working in the North sea I considerd myself abit above some of the characters writing the previous reviews and wrote themoff as soft office types...oh my fellow sufferers how wrong I was. I waiteduntil the other half was tucked up in bed and after giving some vague hintsabout a special surprise I went down to the bathroom. Initially all went welland I applied the gel and stood waiting for something to happen.
I didn't have long to wait. At first there was a gentle warmth which in amatter of seconds was replaced by an intense burning and a feeling I can onlydescribe as like being given a barbed wire wedgie by two people intent onhitting the ceiling with my head. Religion hadn't featured much in my lifeuntil that night but I suddenly became willing to convert to any religion tostop the violent burning around the turd tunnel and what seemed like thedestruction of the meat and two veg. Struggling to not bite through my bottomlip I tried to wash the gel of in the sink and only succeeded in blocking theplughole with a mat of hair. Through the haze of tears I struggled out of thebathroom across the hall into the kitchen by this time walking was not reallypossible and I crawled the final yard to the fridge in the hope of some form ofcold relief. I yanked the freezer drawer out and found a tub of ice cream, torethe lid of and positioned it under me.
The relief was fantastic but only temporary as it melted fairly quickly and thefiery stabbing soon returned .Due to the shape of the ice cream tub I hadn'tmanaged to give the starfish any treatment and I groped around in the drawerfor something else as I was sure my vision was going to fail fairly soon.Igrabbed a bag of what I later found out was frozen sprouts and tore it opentrying to be quiet as I did so.I took a handful of them and tried in vain toclench some between the cheeks of my !!!!. This was not doing the trick as someof the gel had found it's way up the chutney channel and it felt like the spaceshuttle was running it's engines behind me. This was probably and hopefully theonly time in my life I was going to wish there was a gay snowman in the kitchenwhich should give you some idea of the depths I was willing to sink to in orderto ease the pain.
The only solution my pain crazed mind could come up with was to gently ease oneof the sprouts where no veg had gone before. unfortunately, alerted by thestrange grunts coming from the kitchen the other half chose that moment to comeand investigate and was greeted by the sight of me, !!!! in the air, strawberryice cream dripping from my bell end pushing a sprout up my !!!! whilemuttering..." Ooooh that feels good ". Understandably this was ashock to her and she let out a scream and as I hadn't heard her come in itcaused an involutary spasm of shock in myself which resulted in the sproutbeing ejected at quite some speed in her direction. I can understand thathaving a sprout farted against your leg at 11 at night in the kitchen probablywasn't the special surprise she was expecting and having to explain to the kidsthe next day what the strange hollow in the ice cream was didn't improve mystatus...So to sum it up Veet removes hair, dignity and self respect..."

You poor thing :( it is a horrible age at times. A real battle sometimes. You just have to stand your ground and stay in charge ;)
Stay calm, set the rules and stick to them. If he has a tantrum over it, let him. Ignore it and keep calm and carry on. Try not to let it upset you too much.
All much easier said than done, I know. It does get better.......eventually :o

I still rib DS1 about the time he was going to leave home because I wouldn't buy him a £90 jumper that he wanted. He went as far as packing a bag and standing at the front door raving about what a bad mother I was. Funny now, but it was upsetting at the time. hug4.gif
