P.C is almost up to speed now!

Does anyone know how the court case is going re: claiming back bank charges? I got one lot back but still have a case with HSBC.

P.S I didn't get the job :-( 40+ people applied and it went to someone who works there already who was looking to increase her hours.

Re the bank charges, they are not frozen if you can claim hardship and I think - I am on benefits and not receiving any thing towards the secured loan that paid the solicor's fees might work.

Why not pop over to the reclaim board and ask for advice on am exemption claim?

Also I think it is a month or so before the decision.

Do you mean the interest is not frozen from when the case started?

Completely befuddled this afternoon after trying to get a washing machine online! Freecycle no good this time.

    No

I mean that decisions on all cases were frozen by the banks when the OFT stepped in, apart from those where there this would cause hardship.

Oh, I had not heard that! Yes, plenty of hardship going on although its not a big claim so I'm not sure whether they would consider a few hundred to make a lot of difference to us long term.

Don't ask, don't get. They are not likely to advertsie the option.

head over to the bank claim board and see what they know.

    Hello, everyone.

I am very annoyed with myself today because my account ran a bit low so the mortgage wasn't paid. So I got a £65 charge from the mortgage company and £30 (or £35?) from my bank for my !!!! up. I've only paid it late once before (in 9 years).

Is there a template letter to send saying £65 is quite steep for paying 3 days late?

Its going to be one of those months, financially, with more payments needed for the boys gymnastics (little son) and beavers (big son) - the only outside activities they do! And the car tax :-S

All OK otherwise, finishing my NVQ at the moment and the new solicitor is ace! It seems she will be very necessary.....
