Have a lovely birthday, Caterina, whatever you decide to do!

Spent too much yesterday - treated the littlies to a magazine each, but it was the first time this hols, so could have been worse. Also spent on new knitting needles, some half price super chunky wool and a crochet hook, but the wool came with a free pattern! :D It's going to be my reward for finishing my current work for the stitching magazine, and I will be making snoods for the littlies and an infinity scarf/cowl for me for winter, so can I get away with it? :o

    Happy birthday Caterina :)

Been AWOL for a few days but been reasonably OS.
Was at a friends for a Nirvana Spa party on Friday but didn't buy anything (mostly because I took a reaction to it, for sensitive skin my butt!).
Saturday the car had it's MOT so I had a wander in town, bought a few bits but nothing crazy or expensive (new jammies, cushion from primarnia and 50% off journal in Accesorize). Spent the afternoon/evening helping at a cinema event in my village so got to see a movie for 50p (cost of my snack haha).
Saturday night saw the 'girl after me' acting maliciously and trying to befriend me on facebook. She is now blocked from doing so again but it left me in a bad mood so sunday was spent in bed reading till 8pm! At which point I went to Asda and spent a silly amount of money on pamper type products and changed my hair from black to bright red.
Nothing like a change of style to lift your spirit :)

Hope you're all doing well and enjoying the nice weather where yu have it.

Other than that, planned my weekend around a free meal for 2 I have, downloaded a season of my favourite show and going to chill with OH.. Need to order a part for our new bed.. It broke!

    Happy Birthday Caterina :bdaycake:

I kept to my OS plans today and have had a total NSD.

This afternoon I have made soup. First I made stock overnight with three chicken carcases in the slow cooker, cooled it skimmed it and cooked it up with 2 onions, 1 butternut squash and half a bag of basics carrots and various bits of veg which were lurking in the freezer, then liquidised it. 6 portions will be frozen away for DS who loves it at Sunday teatime ?????? at least it saves me thinking of what I can give him.

We've had a lovely roast (in the Remoska) chicken dinner the leftovers from which will do us lunches for the next two days and then there'll be another carcass for the next batch of soup. Not bad for £3.33 and quite OS I think.

Now I'm going to continue with knitting up squares of pink and white yarn leftover from various baby garments. It should make a very attractive and useful blanket and provide a very :money:gift.
