Hi everyone
Update: I sent back a letter saying that their letter did not meet the criteria of a LBC. Today we received letters taking us to Small Claims Court - total claim over £1000.
I have read lots of advice about this on the forums.
Problem is: I am very busy with work and not sure if worth my time and effort fighting this if I can settle..
My questions:
(1) Is there any way to come to a settlement now?
(2) There are still some other tickets waiting in the pipeline, I am still getting a few letters from the debt recovery people - so a settlement would have to include those ones as well.
(3) If not - is there anyone out there who would like to take on the job for us, of defending me in court (for a fee of course)?
Thanks very much for your advice0 -
Let's get this clear. How many letters have you received, who exactly are they from, and what (in general terms) do they say?
I doubt anyone here is going to accept an offer of payment to help you, to do so would be flirting dangerously with the law regarding reserved legal activities.Je suis Charlie.0 -
We only got 1 letter each, from Small Claims Solicitors. Sent back letter saying it wasn't a correct LBC (as advised on forums).
Now got the claim form from Small Claims Court.0 -
How can they take I think 3 registered keepers to court for over £1k with one court claim? If they have taken you to court each of you should get one claim each! And UKPC are useless at most things, claims being one of them, are the letters from the county court? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Yes they are from the county court. 2 letters, to 2 registered keepers, for multiple tickets each.0 -
Well you have a choice to make, either try and settle before it gets to court, or defend the claims, which are you going to go for? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Well it would be UKPC I think, how many tickets are there and how much each? You can get help defending this claim if you want, but it's no walk in the park. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
