yes get your gp note and same day visit the jobcentre to sign of,also get the telephone number of them to phone esa, then go home and phone ESA to start your claim,it should be straight forward
if you do feel unwell on the course have a private word with the tutor,i can bet they see many people who are having a difficult time,it happened when i was on JSA with a women who found these situations difficult, they were sympathetic
hope this helpsThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Op, ESA pays more than JSA. After 12 weeks it rises to £112 p/week from £80 p/week.
Once on ESA, you can bang in a claim for PIP, but please ask your Dr if there is someone at the surgery that can assist you in filling-in the form as it will boost your chances of getting it.
The benefit of ESA is that you can work for 15 hours 59 minutes and earn up to £95 per week and still get full ESA. If you know how to play the system you can survive.
Also, as your dad is on benefits, he may be entitled to grants to do up the house under some of the schemes available.
For food, what about the foodbank ?. Never be afraid to use it.0 -

Isn't that amount for over 25 because it's lower if you are under 35. I was looking up esa.
I wouldn't want to commit fraud, if thats what playing the system means I wouldn't want to be.
Theres no food bank where I live and I would just feel embarrassed to go there. Most things are for people who live in council houses or rented places. Theres not a lot for people who own their house0 -
I really don't want to be rude Shelley, but you keep posting in the middle of the night. Does this mean that you go to sleep very late and sleep late in the morning? That won't help you being in a positive mode to look for jobs during the day/being available for a job.
Also, these kind of sleeping habits are not going to help with your anxiety, so one first step to focus on may be to look into changing your sleeping habits.0 -

The figures are slightly wrong. But once you're put into a group, you get the same amount as everyone else, regardless of your age.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

I have insomnia, don't sleep much. I wake up early it's just that I don't come on here in the mornings. I sleep really late and wake up early, at the moment I've hurt my shoulder/neck so sleeping is uncomfortable and painful, my sleeping patterns even worse than usual.
No matter how much/little sleep I get I am always tired and fatigued, no amount of sleep is enough.0 -
Insomnia can lead to anxiety and depression so if you've had this for some time I would suggest looking at tackling it as you might find that with a better sleep pattern you will have more physical and mental energy and such task as a whole day work experience might then not be so daunting.0

Oh right, what's the difference between the groups
Those of us in the support group are left alone. Those in the work group (WRAG) may need to go to work focused interviews, etc. The idea being to get them work ready.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked
