Adopt a cat. Live and let die.
Of course, you will then be an indentured servant to the cat for the rest of its natural life, but a lot of people enjoy that.
Seriously though, call the council and get them to bring some recording equipment over. Loud pets. especially dogs, are a common problem.0 -
Cats are fine with chickens. We have several cats around here. They might be curious about the chickens once, but they soon get put in their place!0

Buy a sound conditioner.
Generate your own white noise, eg. switch on a fan.

A laxative in the feed? Works for barking dogs

Play "keep up with the Jones's" and buy a peacock. That'll learn them.0

We've got one next door OP, but we live next door to a farm. It's annoying.0

:rotfl:at the thought of a laxative in the food...one slight problem its probably not near enough for that to be a viable proposition (or any barking dogs..or I might try that myself, having moved to an area where some people regard dogs being kept outside and allowed to bark as normal). Errr...no...it ain't ....
Water pistol or hosepipe perhaps if the offending animal (bird in this case) is near enough. Though I've not had the chance to try that out personally, as the offending dogs aren't near enough. Worth a shot if the cockerel is near enough. I think there are hosepipes going up to about 50 metres long.0 -

:rotfl: Belive me a cat will not solve the problem and will come of much worse in any encounter with even a hen, let alone a cockerel.
Contact the council, we have 7 chickens (and 3 cats) at the moment and although would love a cockerel, wouldn't dream of having one living in a urban area.0
