    This site www.thinkbroadband.com provides good coverage on what's going on with the ISPs and you can compare their recorded speeds and other performance ratings. Also check out the forums section on there.

    I ve never had a problem with Tiscali bar the odd occasion and ive been with them for 3+ years. I must be in a minority like the last 1% lol, because the general consensus is there are far too many problems with tiscali, ive been fortunate enough to not have any problems.

    me neither. i've been with tiscali since nov, i had one minor problem, phoned up and they talked me through it,sorted! my mum is also with them and has been for years and she's never had any problems!

    I haven't had any problems regarding my Tiscali broadband (been with them for approx 3 years) apart from the time when I downgraded my package and they were charging me full price for about 3 months!) but I did post a thread myself about adding phone calls to my package - i too have had appalling customer service and haven't even been connected after 5 weeks and not had one phone call after I complained to say it wasn't set up! Although my line rental is still with BT and broadband with Tiscali, I am in the process of moving house and don't think Tiscali will be top of my list any more when I reconnect!

    Stay away from Tiscali - they're fine until something goes wrong, and then the customer service is appalling. They just won't admit there is a problem, make you jump through a million hoops of basic checks that any idiot would have done before they called up, don't call you back when they say they will, then close your call without checking to see if the problem is fixed.
    Nightmare.
