I'm moving house next month and want to get a good broadband deal only I've heard lots of bad things about Tiscali.
What do people think? Should I steer clear of them?

Noooooooo!!!!!:eek::eek::eek::eek:
We have had TERRIBLE service with Tiscali, billing errors, technical problems, appalling customer service, delays etc etc. They have been a complete and utter nightmare IMHO...
Just switched to Newnet who have been sublime in comparison, and are cheaper, faster and more reliable.
Just my experience!

We're moving into a new place (brand new) soon ourselves. We're on a very restricted budget and I had seen the tiscali broadband & phone deal. There's also a talk talk one as well.
If tiscali are bad...suggestions on the cheapest option? We don't use the phone much...just broadband.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Has anyone else got experience with Newnet? I have just left Talktalk!!! and was really after a complete package, but wary of signing up to Tiscali re other feedback,although the prices are good, so maybe it might be best to pay a bit more (although it breaks my heart to part with more money)I just want a good service that if I get problems they can be sorted out quickly, unlike my previous experience.
Thanks0 -
thing is, I would rather have a combined phone/internet package and the good thing about Tiscali is that the BT phone rental is included in the £12.99 a month (£7.99 for 3 months) cost.
are there any other companies who do this? I want to completely steer clear of cable.0 -

could try Virgin Media. See my post from here.
Don't forget to use Quidco.0 -
Certainly an idea. But once you've added in BT's charges for the phone line we're back up to over £20. I want to do it as cheap as possible.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

I guess that depends on whether you trust Quidco or not? Given the cash back you'd get, it would average out at £6'ish per month for the first year. Adding on the BT line rental and you're talking £16.50'ish per month for the first year.
With the use of Skype, 18185, etc, unless you're a heavy caller, you would be under £20 a month.
...apologies if I have misunderstood things.0 -

It would be Tiscali not BT Line Rental and it is NOT included in the £12.99 package. You would need to pay £14.99p a month with a £30 connection fee to get the inclusive line rental,and its only available to 52% of all UK homes. See:
