Hi
I am just in the process of odering a HUMAX 1000s or 1010s (still undeicded but that bit is beside the point I think).
I am intending to have this in the room but would also like to be able to view what is recorder on the box / normal channels etc from the TV in the bedroom, and drilling holes in walls is not an option.
I have tried general searches on this but they all start talking and LNB's and I get completely lost.
Is there an inexpensive way to make this happen?
Thanks in advance for all and any help.
(p.s whilst I don't understand some of the terms if someone could explain what the terms mean I maybe able to get my head round it, I am not a complete techno newbie, I have just never had to concern myselft with TV cables befores
)

Do you already have an aerial cable from both rooms to a loft or roof / chimney? If so you can connect those together to have a coax feed from the lounge to the bedroom and use: http://www.triax.co.uk/upload/tri-link_aug_2010.pdf
If not and you really don't want to drill holes then obviously you are going to need a wireless sender either HDMI or Scart.
To simply view the same box in two rooms you don't need to get involved with the dish/lnb.0 -
LNB is simply the little device that sits on the arm in front of the dish and focuses the signal. No free lunch, and no free laptop

Cool, do you also have an aerial port in the bedroom where the 2nd TV will be? if so trace them both back and connect together.
Then you have a continuous cable from the Humax to the bedroom to be used with a triax unit as linked to earlier.0 -

The Humax 1000s is a Freesat box which doesn't have any RF in/out so I don't think that's going to help the OP.
EDIT - did find out you could connect via scart and then RF.0 -

Yes I do yay!!
Stupid question again how do I trace them back and connect together?0 -
As above, wireless video sender. Get one that does the infra red too, take your remote control to the bedroom, and you can control the box from there. If you can, get a 5Mhz one, as it's less prone to interference from wireless home phones and microwaves. SCART will be fine for the bedroom if you want to spend less.
This is the first one I hit on Amazon but there are plenty of cheaper ones, read the reviews....

And buy the 1010!0 -

Oh sugar, basically I am moving into a rented flat (hence no drilling) and I want to be able to watch tv in the lounge through the box and then on the tv in my bedroom, and am looking for the easiest/cheapest way to do this.
The sky cables etc are there in the lounge and there is the round are port in the bedroom.0 -
Hi

That decision may lie with your capability of getting it hooked up to your router. The 1000s needs an Ethernet cable, the 1010s is WiFi. You need this for the On Demand stuff but not for ordinary freesat channels.I am intending to have this in the room but would also like to be able to view what is recorder on the box / normal channels etc from the TV in the bedroom, and drilling holes in walls is not an option.
Apart from viewing recordings, did you want to be able to view channels independently from what is on the main box or does that not matter?0 -

Sorry for all the question
The 1010 is def the one I wasn't if I buy those receivers what else do I need to do cable wise? (Sorry again I seem to be tying myself in knots over this)0
