That decision may lie with your capability of getting it hooked up to your router. The 1000s needs an Ethernet cable, the 1010s is WiFi.
Apart from viewing recordings, did you want to be able to view channels independently from what is on the main box or does that not matter?
No no need for Independant only one would be on at once0 -

Ok then you could use any of the Video senders mentioned. I believe the Triax unit would also work but you would use the scart to send the signal to the Triax and then RF from the Triax to your bedroom.
Two things put me off the 1010s and that is that it's only available in white so far. Plus a wired connection is usually better than WiFi and I have Ethernet cable where I need it. However you could use Homeplugs to do the job of getting an Ethernet cable from your router to the 1000s.0 -

Thanks, I am liking the look of the Qose 5.8Ghz Wireless Video Sender if this would be all I need then I think if be happy, I know what you mean about Ethernet but I can't guarantee that I am always going to have the box near the points required and the white thing doesn't bother me0 -
LNB is simply the little device that sits on the arm in front of the dish and focuses the signal.
Just for clarity, the parabolic DISH focuses the signal onto the LNB (Low Noise Block-downconverter). The LNB, controlled by the satellite TV receiver, selects the desired "block" (containing the compressed channels) then amplifies and converts it to a lower block of frequencies which can travel down the coaxial cable.0 -
The 1010 is def the one I wasn't if I buy those receivers what else do I need to do cable wise? (Sorry again I seem to be tying myself in knots over this)
Covering either the 1000 or 1010, you need:
A power cable (included) into wall
HDMI cable (MAYBE included, or buy one from Poundland) from Humax to TV
An ethernet cable to connect to router OR just WiFi
2 satellite cables that should be hanging out of the wall in the lounge
And that's it. If you buy the video sender I showed you or similar, it'll plug into the SCART of the Humax, and the SCART of your bedroom TV.0 -
