I hope your Nan is ok DeafLeopard xx

Hickles, the change that didn't fit neatly Into the required denominations went in my purse and I spent from that on Saturday rather than pay by card or break a note. Any left at the end of the day was my first contribution to the first tin of next year :D

  • I have given in and opened the pot - tipped onto the rug and it was amaaazing to be surrounded by so much money. The sum total is £733.70 which is fabulous. I have face ache from grinning so much. I would never have thought I would have either the capacity or willpower to save so much. Just goes to show what can happen if you change your way of thinking. I'm not sure what I'm going to spend it on, but one things for sure its nice to have a choice. Well done to everyone however big or small the sums, we've all been outstanding in our achievements and support of each other throughout the journey.

    NB everyone!
Unlike sparky I have not been able to take any banked amounts from your sigs,I'm trusting that you'll all be able to give me the entire sums you've saved when you declare on the 27th. Thanks a lot folks.
    :)

Fingers tightly crossed for your words to come true, 32b3!! :j

    Hurrah!!!! So, so delighted. :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T

Thanks to everyone on the SPC for their support and especially our leader Sue-UU who ensures we keep on track with our potting.

My pot is resealed for next year's challenge! :j :j :j

You sound absolutely chuffed with your cherished savings, Vicky, and I'm thrilled to bits for you!! Many congratulations to you!!!!!! :j:T:j No need to tell you to start saving again straight away eh?!! :D Thank you for your kind words.

So sorry to hear about your Nan, DeafLeopard, I do hope she will be alright. {{{hugs}}} for your Mum and you. So pleased you had some cash to save your Mum worrying. :)

Hicks, most of us put unfilled bags back into our pots, I've done so with some of mine tonight. The other alternative us to put them away safely and gradually fill them from day to day pottings.
    Hi

I counted mine up tonight as I'll not get chance tomorrow. Adding to the £168 I had in May, my total is £285.23p :D

Not as good as I'd hoped but since May, I've not really put too much effort into it.

My bank will only take five bags a day and it's not the easiest thing for me to do daily so I'll stick what I've got left in my bells bottle amd it can go for next year :)

Thank you for running this :T

I understand you were hoping for more, queen of cheap, but at least you now know you need to put the effort in in order to achieve BIG!! You should still be so happy with what you've saved though, it's still a VERY GOOD sum to have at this time of year!:T:dance:Congratulations and make a pledge to do better next year!!! :D

PLEASE folks, do ensure your correct Nos are on your siggies!! Many of you have the ones from the old list which makes things more difficult for me. :(
Please check the 2nd Post of the 1st page! IF you're not there then please let me know as I had to change round the entire membership list early in the year so you may be missing, but that can soon be sorted out.

Whether you've declared or not, folks, keep saving that cash!!

An important note from girlatplay, folks: "I bank with Bank of Scotland and they accept as many change bags as you have, as long as you take them to the business banking counter.

Anyone wishing to join, it's NEVER too late, so please just ask, you're more than welcome. :grinheart

  • Oh my,sooooooo excited. It feels like Christmas eve :D .Not sure how I am going to sleep tonight.

Tonight I potted a 2p piece that I'd found in a drawer, and a £20 that has been sitting in the same drawer for absolutely yonks!!When I started doing the NSD challenge last October,I remember that for a few months I was setting aside bags of "recurring" spends (Scouts each week, after school clubs each week, etc).A long time ago I told myself that if that £20 was still there at potting time,I would pot it.Well,it was,so I have :j.
Also potted November's roadkill to date (original finds, minus kid's claims icon_rolleyes.gif),£1.21

Oh,soooooo excited for tomorrow.(In the back of my head there is a little voice hoping that tomorrow will not be the day that one of the kids is off sick.Or,worse,OH deciding he might come home for lunch (he text me today to ask if I would be home-thought he might come home for lunch. In the end he didn't.He hasn't done that for about 6 years:don't want him to start tomorrow  (it's a secret Christmas pot).
