Morning everyone, I hope all's well today, and if not that it will get better as the day progresses. Save well instead and it'll help raise some smiles. :D

£8.27p to the pot this morning. I don't think my pots will be full if I am honest :S not in 9 weeks that is :( oh dear. But there we are :)

That's fine, Hicks, and unless it matters hugely to you, it makes absolutely no difference to the rest of us who gets how much - just that we've all saved! You also need to take into account the amount that was pilfered from it earlier in the year. :(BTW, many congratulations to you and your DH (or partner) on the wonderful occasion of a new life to look forward to!!! Please share it all with us, like when it's due??!

Good to hear patience is resumed, mossy, like I believe that!! ;) Well done on the lunches.

Wonderful to hear from you, Pmo2, it's good to have oldies dropping in, golden ones of course! :p

    An excellent amount banked, Kerry!!

Unusual for you to be out on your days, mummytummy, though I take it you won't need a reminder of when count up day is??! :rotfl:

....hard though as she had been in my life longer than my husband :rotfl:

I've a remedy on that, Meowhouse......can't you swap him for another?!! :rotfl: Ah well, just thinking out loud. BTW, good going with the daily lunch monies fiver, a great save!

Aha, there you are, little_sweetie, I was wondering if you were ok. Good that you are and feeling so relaxed. Enjoy creating the cards and making loved ones happy. :D

The bank gave me a load of change bags so I know I have at least £32 in change (with lots more still in the pot) to bank. Also means I need to start putting away quite a bit more over the next two months if I want to reach my target! *determined face*

I love to hear such determination, EMMAP, so go on and budget as well as possible...then save weller!! :j

Brilliant news about the rebate etc, jakes-mum, though I was so terribly sad to read about your dear Mum & Dad, it's so good that they're blessed with such good family to help them through it all. :kisses: BTW, darned sure you should pot the £7.50. Though totally unlike you to wait and ask me finks! ;)

Stay right on buzzing in that hectic life of yours, Helen, it's keeping you a very cheery lass....a good saver too!

Ahhh, really good to see you, Ruth, sounds as though you're really doing your best to build your pot up, good for you.

£10 for the pot after shopping and 2 x £2 after another separate purchase. :D

    Re contact with sparky:

Well everyone, I e-mailed sparky on the 16th September and so far haven't had any response. I think I've allowed enough time for holidays etc, though it's the wrong time of year for him and isn't usually until after Christmas. Still, I shan't give up hope that he'll be posting here either with loads of excuses or reasons...I really don't mind either....as it would just be great to see him. Here's hoping folks!
Have a lovely Wednesday, SPCers, keep on saving hard....as it's just over 8 weeks to go!! forums.moneysavingexpert.com:D

Wellllllllllllllllllll as you all insisted! £7.50 in the pot from the cutlery and £9 from a fb sale :j :j and 62p change

Ooooo my DS is a jammy one! picked him up from the skateboard ramps so he could run in the school and pick his sister up for me (they are building a brand new school so all the access is via the school field which is waaaaay to far for me! :o) and he jumps in and says 'ill swap you mum!' and fishes out 2 x £2 coins! jammy so and so only found them on the floor outside the shop! and yep I swapped with him ;)

Still got £10 from the quidc0 payment to pot, will get round to it asap! promise!

Ty again for all the wishes for me mum and dad, bless em, like chalk and cheese they are :rotfl: if mum was any more laid back she'd be horizontal :rotfl:

Another £1.80 in the pot, would have been £2.50, but decided to buy a can of juice from work this afternoon.
  • OH bought a set of Mey3r pans reduced from £220 to £95, Sadly i can't afford to pot the £125. However, the first set we were walking to the till with (before spotting the Mey3r ones) were $tellar ones reduced from £380 to £125 so technically i saved him £30 by getting the Mey3r ones (which i prefer anyway) so i am going to pot the £30 when i get home :)

32b3in2013 - I looked at it earlier and it wouldn't even work. My tax disc is staying in my window! I paid a lot of money for that paper. They're saving 10 million a year now on paper, i can bet tax will still go up though!!

This will mean sod all to you non-running people; but I managed to get into the London Marathon. Unfortunately, my health issues mean I won't be doing it until 2016.

20p potted. Would have been 30p; but I was being generous and let the taxi driver keep the change.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Morning all, nice day here for the time of year.

Heads up - Groupon have a M&S £10 gift-card available for £6 - ideal for Xmas biscuits / gifts / meal deals etc.
Be quick though, it's limited and you might need to search for it. Enter M&S into Groupon search and a banner appears - click on that.
1 per person or email address.

    Potted a £2 coin and 2 x £1 coins = £4 potted.
