Quoting a very important statement from the judge below.

This is the bit that people frequented in this thread (now closed) needs to read with OPEN eyes. They were religiously defending saying my postings and arguments to help someone caught out and recover lost money were wrong/misleading ..now please read again and again.

For the sake of respect, I am not naming and shaming...

Oh stop with your one man band of rubbish. Right form the very start on that thread people were pointing out that what you had written in your very first post was not correct and that they were operating legally within the framework of the law.

The cases they are losing on here as Fermi is pointing out to everyone(and thanks for that) is that they are losing the cases where they have taken the people to court - it has nothing to do with your thread so stop trying to derail this one with your constant whining.

    Please.

Since the business is 'legitimate' as per majority of MSE folks here, do they stand any chance if they appeal on the basis of the all those T&C's & contractual obligation debate ???

you do know that it is the BPPS that is taking punters to court and losing due to not providing a service from the off don't you?

why cant you just let this thread carry on with the good news it is bringing against this joker rather than trying to prove a point(even though that point is rather wrong)?

I really dont know why these sites are not closed down for what I think is called "passing off" If I opened a site called Coke a Cola as opposed to (Coca Cola) and sold a drink in a red can I would be sued to hell, why are our government so toothless?

Because that would only treat the problem, not cure it.
The cure is for people to stop being lazy and assume Google will point them in the right direction...

I never understand how people manage to end up on rogue websites. The keyboards UK PASSPORT gives the top results as the official .gov website.

A lot of this goes way back when unofficial websites did appear above the official website when doing a search.

The controversial owner of a business that uses legal threats to intimidate people into paying for services they could have obtained for nothing is finding that British county courts disapprove of his tactics.

Last week, Christopher Parkinson became the fourth person in a month to have a claim issued against him by UK Services & Support Limited thrown out by the courts.
It means that Richard Howard, the 28-year-old owner of the firm and the operator of passport appointment website British Passport Services, has yet to win a single claim in court.

Winner: Christopher Parkinson, with wife Mikyung, and son Benedict

This confirms a view held by some legal experts that he is abusing the system by issuing claims more to pressure defendants into paying up, than in the expectation of winning them. It also gives hope to hundreds of people who are debating whether to challenge claims issued by his firm.
