And it would appear that at some point we have signed up to a hotel-chain reward scheme which means we have accumulated some points which now need to be redeemed before they expire. Just need their website to work so I can request them.

So - I managed to get the website working and have just requested myself a TK*xx £10 giftcard! Got to love a giftcard! The confirmation says it could take 4-6 weeks to arrive though!


I used my last TK*xx giftcard/voucher at the weekend - £15 off a pair of LOVELY boots = cost to me £1.99! I am more than happy with that!


Still ahead on T0lun4 - will update balance tomorrow (don't want to bore anyone reading with that on a daily basis! lol)


I think I may have a DD (for extended car warranty) that is over 10 months instead of 12 and I think this month and next are where I don't pay. But sometimes they are late in taking the money, so I will leave enough in my account to cover it for now. Must sit down and price up the next years warranty tonight!

Morning All! Happy payday to me!

Spreadsheet updated to include £5 incentive and interest from last month.


Car warranty for completed last night - same price as this year and includes full breakdown assistance, so OK with that.


Working tomorrow (my usual Sat) and then out for a family meal Sat night. Sunday is Mothers Day, so I will go and visit my mum - she doesn't want to go out for lunch so I will take cakes and a couple of plants for her garden!

Midweek update....


Went out for dinner Sat night - we paid. Dads turn next time.
Q.co £4.11 received and transferred to earn some interest
2 Fleabay items sold - netting £16.82


OH set up a SO to transfer a regular amount into the 'spare' account to pay down the PO c/card (and earn some extra interest in the meantime).
T0lun4 up to 22,336 with todays target being 22,000 (with some points still to show).
O.Poll up to £29.00. So only £11 to go - seems to be going soooo slowly this time!
America visa accepted and paid for.
Finally got round to taking out travel insurance for my USA trip (naughty I know!) (cashback tracked!!)
Food expenditure been low this week as I have been trying to eat out the freezer. 4 chicken breasts, 1 beef roasting joint and 6 sausages gone so far! OH is going into the supermarket tonight (as I have circuit training) who knows what he will buy!! lol
2 nights hotel an entry into a weekend event booked and paid for on CC. Oops!
Need to get more items on fleabay this weekend.
Possible weeks house-sitting in April and 2 weeks in August already confirmed.

Payday update!


T0lun4 up to 24556 which is just above target - need to try and raise this today as I wont get much chance over the weekend (although I think there are still some more points to be credited!)


Need to pay the CC tonight.


T.M4xx gift card (£10) arrived in the post yesterday - that was a pleasant surprise! Safely squirrelled in my purse!! :O)


Beef curry was on the menu for last night - but DSS had had a bit of day so OH treated us all to fish n chips! Not the end of the world as we will have curry tonight instead (as it is just OH and I).
Off out for lunch with OH's aunt tomorrow (she is 97!). Off for a carvery at a well known carvery establishment! We bought a gift card for OH's aunt for xmas and she has saved it to use with us... and I have printed off a £5.00 off voucher!


Not sure what is on the agenda for Sunday. I feel the need for a bit of a lie-in - but I am sure OH will have different ideas! Must, must, must get more items on fleabay!

Morning All!


Market research / focus group thing done last night. Quite interesting and £70 in my hand! Have jiggled accounts around to move £70 into my USA spending fund and keep the cash as weekly spends. 2 weeks at £30 and then the odd £10 toward weekly spends in week 3.
Nothing listed on fleabay over the weekend - Sunday just didn't go to plan.
T0lun4 ticking over quite nicely on target. Nothing else sold on fleabay.

Ok, so weekly update time....
Nothing sold on fleabay - a couple of items relisted.
T0lun4 over target by 1,101 so still on track to reach 80,000 points by 6th May.
O.Poll up to £30.35
Temporary spare money moved over to earn some interest.
Council Tax for the next year has gone up £5 a month - have updated spreadsheet to reflect this. This means there is less 'spare' in the household account to put over to clearing the PO CC - will need to work on this.
Off out to watch the rugby tomorrow night which is a bit of a reat as have managed to convince OH to watch all the other matches at home. Meeting up with a couple of friends so should be a nice evening.

OH had his ppi decision letter through on Saturday. It turns out that the loan we were claiming the ppi on was a consolidation loan that incorporated 5 other 'loans'. The claim was upheld in the 5 older loans - paying out £9031.00, but they declined the claim on the 'consolidation loan', but they are paying £873.00 to it as the amount of the loan was larger due to the ppi on the earlier loans. Apparently there is not "currently" enough evidence to support the claim... so I think this could be challenged in the future!!? Anyway, I am more than pleased for now... and OH thinks I am wonderful for stopping him putting it through a reclaim company!!

So.... yesterday 2 letters for OH. One confirming they are reviewing their decision on the loan they declined as we have submitted new info. The 2nd letter was about a review on the ppi as paid out above - apparently they have reviewed their calculations and have discovered they haven't paid OH enough, so will be paying him an additional £1450. All to do with each consolidation loan being bigger than it would have been if there had been no ppi on the original ones!? OH totally confused but I get it! Now to keep fingers crossed they come back with a good outcome on the most recent loan!! I sooo wish I had ppi (I know this is not the way to think - but I can't help it!!)

Every now and then I get a text message from an online bingo site informing me I have 'bonus points' to play. I usually convert into bingo cash and play. Last week I decided to convert the points into scratchcard money. And now have a balance of £3.50 *cash*. Can't withdraw this but thinking that if I do the same a few times over with 'free' money I could get to the withdrawal threshold. Nice!
