Cant get YOUVIEW to work using coaxial cable
Comments
-
Big long coax cable to Youview box. Short HDMI cable from YV to TV. Job done. HD Freeview and recorded stuff for your party, but no online as you say.
Freeview picture may suffer as a result of the big long cable.
Your Youview box doesn't have an RF (aerial lead) MODULATOR - it's just a pass through. You'll find that many modern PVRs, especially HD ones have got rid of the modulator. How many people are trying to watch digital TV on a set that doesn't at least have SCART, in a world where you can have a free 28" widescreen CRT off Freecycle or whatever they call themselves these days?
This doesnt make sense , or am i reading it wrong (or is it basically moving everything bar the ethernet cable and kitchen sink , outside..)Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.0 -
Twenty minutes after starting this thread, the OP started an identical one on the Digital TV board, with the same topic heading.

No Dan-Dan, I'm talking about moving
a) the TV and
b) the YouView box
outside. Don't touch the kitchen sink!0 -
Do you mean when you set the input to coax?. Try connecting only via coax cable. Play a recording on the freeview box and do search for channels on the tv.when i tune the TV to the icon i think is correct , as in the coax icon ,0
