History of burglary

Does anyone know if it's possible to find out if a property has been burgled recently?
I viewed a basement flat this week and spotted some broken window-glass (thick, flat glass). When I asked the agent if the place had ever been burgled, he claimed that it must be a broken wine glass.
It would be useful to know before I start getting insurance quotes.

It may not be possible to be as specific as I'd like to be, but it was worth a shot.
Most police forces have email/social media accounts. Maybe ask if there is an equivalent to police.uk ?0 -

You wont be able to obtain crime data down to that kind of level as it would identify individual victims and breach the DPA.Mortgage debt - [STRIKE]£8,811.47 [/STRIKE] Paid off!0
