My Hubby and I bought 10 papers, stocked up on fruit, veg and herbs. We put £5 worth on the checkout then put next customer thingy on then the next £5's worth and repeated. We got £50 worth of food for £4 ( cost of the papers ) all veg blanched and frozen. Most of the herbs frozen.Made lots of fruit smoothies, crumble, poached pears etc.
Now that's what I call moneysaving. I don't like the paper but needs must.0 -
I wish there was a Morrisons near me- the nearest is three buses away and always like a rugby field as it's so busy when I've tried to visit in the past! Am so jealous! Will be sticking to the fruit and veg market this weekend, (not free but not Tesco prices!)0

In Scotland we have got a voucher for £5 off meat and fish when you spend £10.0

Thanks OP
Just got some Asaparagus as lucky to have good fruit &veg markets about ; Asparagus is usually very expensive even on the street markets0 -
I missed this offer. I am going to have a little cry:(Death comes to us all. When he came to Mort, he offered him a job. MORT by Terry Pratchett.0

so I don't understand how others are buying other stuff with it.
No-one has said they're buying other stuff have they ?
If you only spend 4.95 on fruit and veg then you'll only get 4.95 off. I've used 2 vouchers, the strawberries and grapes are on 2 for £3 so i bought 4 each time. This way, 4 packs of strawberries and 4 packs of grapes cost me £2 !0 -

This was a great offer, though quite depressing to be faced with how much veg and fruit you actually get for £5 - not a lot really. Like others I spent yesterday chopping and freezing and am absolutely full of vitamin C!!
This also made me look again at Morrisons despite being an Aldi fan. The bread is fabulous and many of their own value label brands are really reasonable, esp tins, biscuits etc. They also had a good mix of yellow stickered stuff. I will go back again - which I'm sure is the whole point of this promotion. Roll on more offers.
Thanks so much to the original poster, I wouldn't have known about it otherwise.0 -
I didn't get any more papers, but should have!! Maybe next time (hopefully another offer soon).
For my 2 x £5 vouchers I bought:-
2 x strawberries = £3 (for 2)
Melon, apples, baking potatoes = £2 (3 for £2)
Sack of unwashed potatoes = £3.49
Peppers (pack of 3) = 99p
Carrots (1kg) = 69p
Bananas (loose) = 30p
Total = £10.47
Cost of papers = 80p + 47p over £10 = all for only £1.27.
More please. lol

I bought four papers and used all four vouchers in consecutive transactions.
I didn't deliberately fiddle but I bought 4 packs of blackberries, usually £2 or 2 for £3. They were reduced to £1.05 so I didn't think I'd get a discount but they still took the multi buy discount off.
I'm also really impressed but the fruit and veg quality.0
