You asked what your rights were and you have been told. You may get some benefit above and beyond your rights by doing what stebiz says but the advice given in this thread is correct.
Interesting that the only person you thanked was the person giving you the (sort of) answer you wanted to hear.0 -
to hintza why should i send it for repair its as not been used much and still in new condition i dont see what the problem is for the store to just exchange it the tv as developed 3 intermittent faults and my complaint would be about the rudeness and lies from there customer service if you cant help please dont reply
I have told you what your rights are. What more do you want?
The shop even told you all there TVs come with a 5 year guarantee and you didn't even like that! You suggested they would say something like that just to get you of the line!
Stebiz has given you another course of action which have nothing to do with your rights, if you follow his advice you may get a result but you had better hope it isn't someone like me on the other side of the counter because if you started shouting the odds, hell would freeze over before I caved in to your unjustifiable demands.0 -

Can I just say that I agree with most of what has been said in relation to his rights regarding the tv. There are times though when if you are like terrier and keep at something it's often easier and less time consuming for a company to cave in and take it on the chin.
Those who shout loudest etcAsk me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -

Try that with me or my staff and you'd be shown the door.0 -

To be honest you can try and be the hard man. But the truth is that most Customer Service staff do not like a fuss. Certainly not in front of other customer. Ask for a manager. Ask for Head Office on the phone. Push the right buttons and most times (not always) you'll get what you want.Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0
