what if i email the chief ex with my complaint

    What complaint do you have?

You have been told to send it for repair so just do that. They could decide it is uneconomical to repair and then you might get a replacement or a refund, they could also argue it is not a manufacturing fault if they deem it has been misused or abused.

they can inspect it what if i email the chief ex with my complaint would that do anything as the person i spoke to this afternoon as told me a load of bull about the warranty i think it was just to get me of the phone

You can, no matter what they say, but to be honest, they haven't told you anything wrong, so I cant see a CEO office doing much to be honest, purely as they haven't actually done anything that really requires you to be reaching out to a CEO.

Don't expect alot on the CEO route...they are well overused already

Do you mean dont reply if you disagree with me

they have offered to repair/look at it, as per the gtee/your rights.

If you had bought secondhand you would be binning it now

Op you don't seem to be listening the correct advice you have been giving, you do not have the automatic right to a refund, they are allowed to repair it. No amount of moaning about it is going to change that.

im not saying you have to agree with me i have never come across this problem why something just cant be exchanged if i bought a new item of clothing and the stitching came undone i doubt many shops would send it of for repair it would just be replaced there and then

But its not an item of clothing, its an electrical appliances which normally can be repaired.

Of course any repair must not cause an disproportionate amount of inconvenience to you, so for example if it had to be repaired 3,4,5 times then you could argue its was causing an inconvenience and push for a replacement or partial refunds.

Personally I'd package it up and cause a stink in store - not literally if you know what I mean. Demand a refund. I was told on here by so many that I wasn't entitled to a refund on two mobile phones which developed hairline cracks within weeks of buying them. Stood my ground and refunded on both!
