My son went to Kentwell Hall on Tuesday all the kids were dressed in Tudor style and had different coloured shirts and waist coats. I think the Teacher is being picky.Competitions wins 2010

DD's school is always doing that, drives me nuts! Is it impossible to give more than one days notice!! I have even said to DD "how long has that been in your bag" And she has only been given it that day (I check the date, she's right) AARRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Ps Vote for tea!!:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
I would have thought tea would be the best option at this late stage. Why do school always do this???Murphy's No More Pies Club Member No. 680

Think the teacher's being picky about colour, linen would be closer to white than brown...

Mine did too the other week, and wore an M&S vest with a notch cut into the neck. I think your school are just being fussy - they're only kids, not actors!Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no. 360

I know how you feel.. I think teachers think we're sitting at home just waiting in anticipation of a note from school to ask for help with summer fair stalls, money for this that or the other, to pop into school every 10 minutes, send them in fancy dress (I had one last year whereby they wanted my son to dress as some sort of food!), money for a trip, and the list goes on. My youngest is in nursery and he's got something on every day this week and every day next week - drives me mad.0

The Tudors did have white shirts - it was a sign of wealth to be able to afford white linen ... so your son can say he's posh lol. They used urine to bleach the cloth ... you could also tell the teacher that's what you did0
