OP dont go searching on the net for a loan of £50, another tip OP is to only use legit lenders eg the high street banks, 3 of the top supermarkets offer loans via a financial institution. Another idea is to use Wonga for something like this, they are a repuatble lender albeit a pay day lender.

    Hi Francis,

Sorry to read that you're having this issue.

It does sound like you've been charged administration or search fees. Some loan companies charge these and they do not guarantee a loan, but cover the cost in searching for one. As you were advised when you spoke with one of my colleagues, we're unable to help in these situations. If you can find the company/website you used, you may wish to check their terms & conditions. You will also need to contact that company directly to discuss the matter further.

    Thanks,

    Craig

Wow what a helpful and insightful post, makes me want to rush out and switch my account to Lloyds :rotfl:

    Why?
What business is it of Lloyds where I decide to spend my money?

Typical attitude of so many, "I spent my money somehwere I didn't mean to so you have to sort it all out for me".

People go so far out of their way to throw their debit card details out to any old website google finds for them but cannot/will not spend 10% of that effort in requesting a refund.

the bank/visa has a care of duty to their customers to help combat fraudulent transactions! only one transaction is legit the others were taken without consent and of course i have contacted the other companies to try and get refunds, some of you just don't get the point that these companies maybe just scammers and have fraudulently taken this money!
i would like to see how you would feel if you had £700 taken without your knowledge and left you with no food and not able to pay your rent!!!!

I bet you did agree to the other payments as I bet it was detailed in the terms and conditions which you agreed to.

Writing to each of them will possibly be the only way to get the money back.

We do get the point, but you don't seem to get the counterpoint, that a person can't be "scammed" if they don't give out their card details to random websites or cold callers.
