This is a copy of a post made by a user here last year, much kudos to said person.

If the below doesnt work for whatever reason, I've also seen success reported for people who requested refunds from the companies (their T&C's stipulate they will give refunds if you dont take a loan with them within xx days - if they dont give you the refund, which isnt uncommon, you complain, then complain to the financial ombudsman service and you will receive your money in 6 months or so) without further a due, here is the post with a great plan of action for you, good luck!
Thank you Kino

I got a reply from lloyds on facebook! : Lloyds Bank Hi Frank, I am sorry to here of your situation, When it comes to these types of loan companies our hands are tired. The reason for this is due to those companies terms and conditions & them ultimately doing what they say they will and what they charge for doing. Although they do not always make it clear they will state they charge an admin fee for searching for a loan, even if a loan is not provided they still take their fee. It will also state that if they are unable to obtain a loan they will provide the customer's details to other loan companies for them to try & these companies will have the same terms and conditions. By providing the card details to them the customer is agreeing to these terms. The only other suggestion we can make other than what has already been advised is to report them to trading standards and give them details of each of the companies. He could speak to our customer support unit on 08081450373 Mon-Fri: 8am - 9pm Sat: 8am - 5pm to see if there is any more advice or support they can give if he is in financial difficulties. I hope this helps & I do hope you are able to get it sorted out. If you would like us to log this as a complaint for you then please send a personal message with your post code & contact number and i shall pass these to customer services who will contact you directly. ^Ryan0

Sorry OP. Looks like you've been stitched up.
Good luck with your new job. Can you sell something to make some cash on ebay? Much better than taking out loans.0 -

I do hope that Lloyds are not employing people with such low standards of English. Are you sure you've copied that accurately?0 -

Make a formal complaint to Lloyds telling them that under BCOBS and the Payment Service Regulations 2009 they must prove that the payments were authorised, otherwise they MUST refund the money taken from your account.
Tell them you will take them to the FOS if they refuse.
Take no excuses and bull from them. Their reps on here and on facebook are full of BS.Still rolling rolling rolling......

This is the way forwards if you're unable to identify the companies.rizla_king wrote: »Make a formal complaint to Lloyds telling them that under BCOBS and the Payment Service Regulations 2009 they must prove that the payments were authorised, otherwise they MUST refund the money taken from your account.

For what it's worth, I think these loan firms are scum.
I also think it's close to madness to volunteer your card details so frivolously. If I were Lloyds I'd consider closing the accounts of any customer acting so recklessly.
Oh, and it's time the FCA closed these crappy loan brokers down.0 -

I can't see how this can be correct.
By agreeing to the terms and conditions of the original loan agents, you are also agreeing to the terms and conditions of any number of other agents of their choosing, whose terms and conditions you cannot see ? Unless all the terms are explicitly stated in the page you are clicking, you cannot be assumed to agree to them.0
