Unless your school holiday dates are different, the Easter holiday weeks are not covered at all. All you can get are 3 night holidays over the Easter period, which fall over a weekend.

Our schools break up on 27 March 2015. They go back on 13 April 2015.

The only Easter dates being offered by The Sun are the weekend of 27 March and the weekend off 10 April, but not the weeks in between. Neither the week commencing Monday 30 March nor the week commencing Monday 6 April are in the promotion.

Our Easter Holidays are the same as above and we are in Yorkshire. If I remember correctly the promotion in Sept/Oct for £9.50 will cover the school holidays but will incur an extra premium such as an upgrade or at £15 per person.

My brother booked Haven Ayr for the 2nd week of Easter (holiday mon) mon-fri but had to pay £11.50 per person as there was only luxury available. He booked the holiday around October last year. They went and were in the top spec apartments so was well worth the money.

My advice would be to see what is available to you in the school holidays this time and if nothing is suitable wait until the next promotion when school holidays might be available.

    Saturdays Code: ARTY
  • We are on hols 3rd - 20th April in West Berkshire - so we luckily fit in with the dates - mon to fri on 13th April - have always had an easter sun holiday.

I too always get a priority booking form - only one time have I not and I just emailed them and they emailed me a code straight back.

    Hi,

Does anyone know, if we were to book a 4 night trip to France (monday to friday) would we be able to skip the first night and arrive on the tuesday morning?

I ask because the ferry times are awkward and leaving at 23:00 on the sunday night for an all night ferry would (from what I can tell) add £90 (possibly even £120 if they charge it for babies) to the total  as it's a weekend sailing (even though it's only on the weekend by an hour!!!

We could leave 24 hours later and arrive in France on the Tuesday at 8 AM before heading to the park.

Anyone know if this would be acceptable?

You would have to confirm with the park. I know that if you have not checked in by such a time in the morning then they can sell your accommodation to someone else. What site is it and what do their T&C state on website/booking form? If you prior arrange a late arrival I'm sure they will accommodate you as your stay is paid.

It's a french site, so I'm not sure how I would go about explaining it very well and if it would get understood! Surely if I've paid in advance, which I will have done to the people who run the sun holidays, they shouldn't be able to sell the accommodation on? Trying to get an answer from the Sun people is a pain in the backside too. I guess it would be different if I was booking direct with site but in this case what's the deal?
