Munchin... I am aiming for a budget similar to yours for next month. How many do you feed on it and are you meat eaters? (£130) And are your cupboards like the black hole of calcutta? :rotfl:

Tomorrow & Thursday defo SFD's already. I have no money other than the £2 budgeted in my drawer at work for the eggs which was classed into last weeks eggs spend on Weds! I will check in but probably quietly late evenings.

    Night all

    Hi All,

As predicted today was a spend day but not for the anticipated big shop. Just milk, yoghurt and 3 loaves of really fresh yellow sticker granary and seeded bread @ 19p each. Only small loaves but a bargain none the less. All in the freezer for lunches during August :j

Big shop at Aldi to use the vouchers has been delayed until tomorrow as we had a call to go out on a rescue just as OH was picking me up from work.

NSK and Lilt you are not alone in your love of all things 4 legged, winged or water bound. I love all animals and cannot pass one without stopping to look. We often pop out to a local animal sanctuary just to look at the animals, or more correctly in my case to talk to them :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

One of the major decisions I have been mulling over is whether to move up north to a location with land for our animals and possibly a few more :rotfl:

I have a meeting at work later this week to confirm what I want to do. The decision is solely down to me. Do I want to be made redundant or do I want a trial period at a new location which will be more time consuming and difficult to get to. I know the answer and in reality have known it for the last 6 months at least but they had to give me time to think it over once they accepted that I do have genuine issues and therefore have grounds for redundancy.

Can I ask what you rescued today?

I love animals, we currently have 6 furry friends but I'd love a paddock with ponies, donkeys, goats, pigs and longhorn cows. I'd love to have chickens and ducks too, and OH would love a carp pond.

Today has been very expensive, but nearly finished the garden renovations and spent 3 lovely days working with OH towards a common goal :)

Exercise was lifting stones and rubble again but did over 12000 steps, just within my own garden!

Today was a swan with a fishing hook attached. Unfortunately this happens quite a lot. Some people blame the fisherman but when humans and wildlife share the same space things are going to happen. Most fisherman we come across are very respectful of their environment and are often the first to report an issue. In the past we have had fishermen wading waist deep to help catch a swan.

Our dream is to have a couple if acres so we can have a variety of animals. Like you I would love some pigs and possibly some sheep. I already have chickens along with the 5 dogs and a parrot. It is so entertaining watching the dogs and chickens together. The staffie tries to get them to play in the same way as the other dogs play and doesn't understand why they don't :rotfl:

Hopefully we will be starting our dream life next year. Just need to do up one of our rental properties and our home and then we can sell up and move a bit up North to the property of our dreams debt and mortgage free. Watch this space

Oh CEW your dream life sounds amazing! Go for it!
Hahah, Kat I love the barking cat clip! DH and I spend ages when we are feeling down watching silly cat clips together!

Thanks for the communal support with our decision guys. We are both still feeling a little raw and emotional after the weekend, so have agreed to sit down this coming weekend and hammer out the details of what our new budget and plan will look like, I think neither of us trust that we have the energy and calmness and 'distance' to be able to do this just yet.

But, with one day left of the month, we have done pretty well at the challenge, if not much else! I am annoyed about the food budget (we are £15 over our usual of £180, so £35 over our July challenge one) and we would have totally been on target if I hadn't got lots of nice BBQ stuff, coals, firelighters and a bottle of cava. Hey ho. It was nice. If I cycle today and run tomorrow then I hit my 20 exercises, and we should hit 17 SFDs.

We have £0 left in the bank this month, which is not normal, but its due to all the new car costs and insurance etc.

I am going to hop over to Aug now and sign up and start thinking about what is really achievable for us....

    Hi gang!!!

Apologies for my absence... I've been away visiting the family up north!!! Had a lovely time and was pampered and had lots of much needed R&R!!!...

Back today and working out budgets for August... I see the challenge is up so I'll go and take a peek. Well done to everyone in last month's challenge - however you faired... The main thing is we are all trying - and that's got to count for something.

Hit my SFD challenge and stayed withing budget for the month too! Hoorah!!! Need to boost my exercise sessions as only hit 5/12 I think in July. Will have to work out a new routine and just get to it!!!

My debt to Lloyds finally dropped off the radar this month. I have dug out all the old paperwork - I took the original loan out back in November 2006 and so its been hanging over me for nearly 8 years! I've written them a lovely appreciative letter for their help and support in initially loaning me the money - and asked they send me a letter notifying me that it has been paid in full... Also asked them to notify the credit reference agencies... I even signed it in sparkly gold ink haha!!!

Thanks as ever to Kat for inspiring us all to greatness!!!

I think someone might have to step up and fill in the gap - I promise then to drop in from whatever country I am in to see how you are all doing! :T:T:T
