Sorry been MIA again. Kids finished school last Friday and we've been flying ever since lol. Managed to get utility room to a flying standard, just need to put some clean clothes away. Half of the kitchen cupboards have been emptied and organised. Living room got new units and tidied up. DD's bedroom got completely gutted as did my own. All paperwork finally sorted and organised in the filing cabinet. I've even managed to get a few items on ebay and gumtree.

Still loads to do to put house in order and I'm slowly getting stuff down from the attic to sort. Plan tonight is give kitchen a quick tidy and completely sort out the hotpress, I really don't have a clue what i'll fine. Hopefully get more stuff put on ebay too.

Hope everyone is well and i'll be back later with an update.

Sorry, bit of a whinge coming. Came home from work at 2pm and the house just looked a complete mess. I have been trying so hard lately but just dont seem to be getting anywhere, dont know whats going wrong. Could have cried - so tired and fed up.

Cleaned the fridge and the worst bits of the kitchen, went to pick DS1 up, walked the dog, took the Tesco shopping in and put it away then made tea. Just sitting down for a few minutes then will start again.

I have work to do for 2nd job, the car is filthy inside and out, I am behind with my coursework and I need to fill in some forms for DS1 which I keep putting off.

Might just have an hour doing what I can. In fact I might go off with some cleaning wipes, a laundry bag and a bin bag and have 10 minutes in every room in the house.

I'd have a tantrum and a wobbly and pile all the crap in each room in a heap and give them 5 minutes to clear it or you are binning the lot.. .works wonders in my house!!

dinner cooked and scoffed.. fridge now emptied of random bits that needed eating.. I have 1 meal worth of mince left and some cheese to freeze .. pork casserole tomorrow with new potatoes for OH and me and jackets for the children.

Written Squeaks birthday invites.. with permission to paint faces, go on bouncy castle, wear fancy dress and request parents stay.. I have enough children to look after without supervising 8 extra 4 year olds. DDs 2 and 3 doing pass the parcel and my sis doing face painting.. Oven BBQ going on with cakes and biscuits and ice cream ... organised already !!

Yeah, probably good advice. Mind you knowing my lot they would walk around the pile of crap and me having a meltdown and not even notice! If only I could just get OH to wipe down the kitchen surfaces when he has made his breakfast and packed lunch on a morning that would be a massive breakthrough. There is something about coming home from work to crumbs all over the place that really winds me up...

Anyhow, I am chilled now and have just emptied a bottle of wine so it can go in the recycling. Every room has been swished and swiped and hoovered where necessary. Tomorrow I need to work - hard - to catch up on the paid stuff. But thats tomorrow eh?

Exactly the reason I can't stick to my June/July Challenge of going alcohol free - just to get the place tidy and the bottles in the recycling.

Craft cupboard top four shelves sorted, more stuff taken to CS and some stuff put out to go to the Scrap Store because I'll never use it but someone else might want to - I've kept the things I will use, though. One more shelf to do in there as well as more work on the four bookshelves, but this week's Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 'lists' have definitely helped me deal with the major Room of Doom in this house. Things are looking a lot better and it now feels as though I could actually sort this room out given a fair wind behind me. Thanks Dusty.
    Better is good enough.

I've just done an hours paid stuff and now trying not to feel cross that someone left things till the last minute, when I was chasing them at the beginning of the week. In fact, I may even have sent it last week originally :(

Shall be making it clear that next two weeks I will not be available on Thu/Fri.

Kitchen tidied (again) and DW emptied. Buns made for bun sale are yucky but DD and I need to pop to Mr M tomorrow (and FIL gave us the £5 voucher out of his paper) so will buy some treats and a gallon or two of milk. They are drinking loads of the stuff this week.

I was going to wipe over the sofas today but I'm done in now. So having a brew instead and trying out the portable DVD to see if its losing its battery memory.

Angelic little DS has been a git tonight :rotfl: I asked if we should tell his teacher, and would they still let him go on his trip. Went to bed rather quietly after that ;)

Argh. Marie Curie door-knocker. Did not need that. Said I knew far more about them than I ever wanted to and can they not knock again please.
