I met her in the Stone Age stoned on oatmeal;
I can still recall that creepy smile she wore;
She was smellin' kind of funny in the twilight,
and I knew what strong deodorants were for;
She asked me if I'd warp her mind forever;
She said to me man wasn't meant to fly;
But who'd have thought she'd freak out with no clothes on;
I pushed her off the bridge and waved goodbye.
It has a certain kind of charm...0 -
I like all these lyrics.
I also like the suitcase, I just cannot remember what size carry ons are meant to be these days, uniformity of that might help people a lot
I would also like blue tits..

That's one of my favourite songs of all time and contains a couple of amazing melody lines. It also has one of the best lyric lines in music ever, simple and true...'and I need you more than want you, and i want you for all time.' Isn't that love in a line?
There is some amazing country music in fact. It gets a really bad name, But there is some cracking stuff there.
I so etimes used to call special girl ( who was very large ' big trucks') after a poppy country hit, and and some of the bluegrass through ages is simply beautiful.0 -
I finally decided to treat myself.... to an indian takeaway. Clutching my little coins I hot-footed it down the road .... veg biryani .... hot-footed it home.... it didn't look much/great (curry part 200grams, rice part 650grams) .... and then I ate it .... it was awful. It was just a dark brown mass of spiced goo with some indistinguishable vegetables in the curry sauce ... and in the rice. Rice 'felt' cheap, not like I'm used to.
Horrid thing it was.... horrid. Worst one I've ever had. If that'd been my first I'd have declared I hate indian food and never touched it again!
Definitely won't go to that one again.0 -

I discovered rice weevils today. our dry goods are kept in plastic boxes, but not always Tupperware within those, but they were contained to one of they big boxes, but none the less its a lot to lose.
Out loss has been a big gain for the chooks who feasted on kilos and kilos of rice ( and cooked weevils ) and will for the next couple of days least, in a gluttonous rice fest. After coo template g making so e sort of bread for them with the flours that had been in there I decided like was too short and ditched them.:mad::(
Pretty sure it was tesco ruddy rice too. Last to come in and be opened. When you think of the stuff we buy from places where import might be dubious this is both ironic and annoying.0 -
The chillies my mum chopped up to go with or dinner were ferocious. My mum said that were so hot her ears went a bit funny, so that's saying something. I indeed up picking then out of my food :I Not looking forward to tomorrow. Might be a tense drive home!0

That's one of my favourite songs. I still don't like much country though. It's the lyrics (as lir says) are beautiful and he has a lovely wistful tone to his voice.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
